General info: This 1994 Supra twin turbo has a targa top, Renaissance Red paint with black leather interior, 6-speed transmission, clean title, 98,950 miles. I did a compression test as soon as I got the car, and got #1=163, #2=163, #3=160, #4=163, #5=157, #6=152. I kept the NGK plugs that were in it, they are in very good shape. This car is very solid and tight, and feels very similar to the black '94 TT I sold a month or two ago for $26,150 (with stock wheels.) It has a perfectly clean title on CarFax.com (please email me for the a copy of the recent CarFax report.) From what I can gather, this Supra has had 2 owners. It has every option (alarm, auto climate control, CD/tape/equalizer, 7 speaker sound system, traction control, power seats/mirrors/windows/door locks, etc.)
Performance/Modifications (installed within last 11k miles):
-3.5" stainless downpipe
-3.5" HKS carbon fiber-Titanium catback exhaust
-17" Konig Villain wheels with Bridgestone Potenza RE370's (275 rears with 90% tread left & 50% tread left in front)
-Veilside vented hood
-Corbeau 4 point driver's harness
-Eibach pro-kit springs
-Koni yellow shocks in rear (fronts included)
-Kenwood KDC-9017 Sirius satellite radio/fold down cd player
-Excelon front speakers
-OEM alarm/keyless entry system
-Top Speed cone filter/intake pipe
-VDO 52mm black faced boost gauge in clock location
-NO boost controller or BCC
-custom fit supra car cover
-Ming paint finish (expensive think clear coat, VERY shiny and NEVER needs polish/wax!, 10 year warranty)
Mechanical aspects: I've done the following maintanence in the last 50 miles: Champion C63YC plugs (2 heat ranges colder than stock) @ .035, PCV valve, 3 PCV ventilation hoses, fuel filter. The engine gaskets are all very clean and leak free, among the cleanest I've seen. The timing belt looks brand new. The brakes are very smooth and solid, without vibration. Clutch is very smooth and doesn't slip. Transmission shifts smoothly without grinding, and doesn't pop out of gear or do anything else abnormally. The turbos are very clean looking and both build boost perfectly. The #1 turbo spooling is LOUD and sounds like a jet thanks to the vents in the VeilSide hood. The car doesn't leak any fluids (very clean undercarraige), and hasn't used any oil since I've owned it. It has only been modified for the last 9k miles. The factory 2JZ-GTE 3.0L Twin Turbo is rated at 320 horsepower, but numerous dyno tests show that factory Supras have around 300 HP @ wheels (350 HP @ crank.) I had a Supra with less modifications than this one (with the same wheels in fact), and in 80 degree heat made 400 rear-wheel horsepower and 429 rear-wheel torque on 19psi. This Supra should make about 375rwhp/400rwtq (over 435 crank horsepower!) the way it sits with no boost controller. I can add a $5 manual boost controller and $65 GReddy BCC and the car could push about 425rwhp/450rwtq on a cool night. The car has never been to a race track or a dyno as far as I know. If you are concerned with mechanical issues being a problem (although they are not), be aware that this Supra should still qualify for Toyota's Factory Extended Service Warranty. This 4 year/50000 mile Bumper-to-Bumper warranty with $0 deductible can be purchased at select Toyota dealers for about $1600 and is honored at ANY Toyota dealership nationwide (I can give you the phone number to a dealer that sells them in Chattanooga, TN near my home town.)
Interior: The interior is in great shape. Has the OEM floor mats in great shape with 'SUPRA' logo. Black leather is by far the most rare and popular color of Supra seats. These seats have some average wear, with no rips or tears. The console on Supras is very prone to scratches, but this one is near perfect. The black carpet has two tiny cigarette burns in an unnoticeable areas, but otherwise is in basically perfect shape with no wear. The interior paneling, doors, dash, etc is in perfect shape (no scratches, wear, etc.) I fixed one small spot on the door, and it blends in well. There is a remote control for the Kenwood satellite radio/cd player. Also, a toggle switch mounted near the traction control button by the previous owner to control on/off operation of an aftermarket amp he had in the car. The toggle switch is currently wired up to a power source and lights red at night when on, but doesn't activate anything. I replaced 2 of the tiny light bulbs that illuminate the A/C controls that were blown. The Corbeau 4-point harnesses make you REALLY feel like one with the car. It inspires confidence through corners, and gives a very secure feeling. I am going to put a harness in my daily driver after driving this car!
Exterior: It has new paint (hit a fire hydrant in the front end 2 years ago, VERY good repair work though by a reputable body shop. I have the repair bill. It DOES have a clean title.) The targa top has some scratches from flying out once, and it also has a small patch of rust underneath the paint behind the passenger rear wheel (see pictures for detailed pics.) The paint is in VERY good shape and is VERY shiny, thanks to the Ming coating it has on it (www.MingShine.com), with a 10-year warranty. There are some other small blemished/door dings, nothing major.
Other: I want to disclose all problems I know of on the car, no matter how small. Anyone would be lying to you if they said a 1994 model was in PERFECT shape, like many people do :) In addition to everything I've mentioned so far, here are the minor flaws the car has that I have noticed:
-front passenger wheel is a bit warped...not sure why, as there are no major marks on it. I suppose it could have been from a large pothole. The car has some vibration on the interstate at higher speeds, but nothing unbearable.
-That's all I can think of! This is a very nice Supra.
Conclusion/pricing/contact info:I won't buy a Supra unless it meets a certain level of quality I look for. I have owned 12 Supra Twin Turbos since 1999, so I know what to look for when buying one, and how to take care of them. In my opinion they are the BEST mix of luxury, daily driveability, and performance you will find! My first Supra dynoed almost 500 crank horsepower/over 500 crank torque with the $575 "BPU" package I mentioned above. It could outrun Viper's on the interstate, and was still as driveable as when it was stock. It only takes a straight exhaust and a boost controller to make a Supra have over 400 HP @ the wheels RELIABLY (475-500 HP @ crank.) Considering I have had 11 other Supras in the past, I have no desire to drive this car hard, as I already know what it is capable of. A few Supra owners in the Knoxville, Tennessee area have seen and ridden in the car and can confirm my statements above.
I get wholesale pricing on performance parts and will sale the person who buys this car any parts they want at better prices than they will find ANYWHERE, as well as provide you with technical assistance and advice on modifing and caring for the car. I can give you references of people who have purchased Supras from me in the past without even coming to test drive them; they can tell you they are satisfied with their Supras, and there was nothing wrong with the car that I didn't notify them about. I speak with several people I have sold Supras to at least once a week, they can tell you how much I help them with parts selection, troubleshooting, etc. I cannot help with financing, but you can try www.PeopleFirst.com, as they loan large amounts on Supra Turbos (they base your loan amount on your credit rating, NOT the car you are buying.) Also, try the bank you currently do business with or your local credit union. I will set up shipping the car to anywhere in the US at your expense. Here to California is about $750 using DAS, the best/largest auto shippers in the USA. Please feel free to email me your highest offer, but right now I am asking $25,500 to end the eBay auction, which i feel is fair considering the market value of 6-speed Supras and the quality of this car. Feel free to email me any other questions or your highest offer at Sales@SpeedForSale.com or call 865-556-7223 or 865-774-5481 or AOL/Yahoo instant message me at JeremyJBlackwell . I will hold onto all offers, and if the car doesn't sale after the eBay ad ends on October 16, I will consider slightly lower offers (not below mid-$20k's.) I am in NO rush to sale the car, so please remember that I am not going to jump on a cheap offer. I've sold 11 of the 12 Supras I've owned within 9 days after listing them for sale, so act fast if you want this car! I will not hold the car for anyone, unless I talk to your bank and they tell me that payment is on the way or have confirmation you are on your way to look at the car. I have missed several potential sales on other Supras I have owned because people who wanted me to hold the car because they were "definitely" buying it backed out! Not trying to be mean, just fair to you AND me ;) I have another daily driver, so the Supra will be sitting in the garage waiting on you. Thanks, and let me know if I can assist you in any way!
