I have a stock 305 TPI with about 130,000 miles. Motor has never been rebuilt or anything, but the trans was rebuilt at 90,000 miles. How big of a shot of nitrous could I run without blowing the motor. This is my daily driver I just want a lil bit of juice for the Christmas Race. :feedback:

I am not totally sure about this, so I do not make any promises, but if your fuel system is up to the task, you should be okay with a 75 shot. I looked at the TPI efi NOS kit in jeg's for our motors and it looks like a sweet setup. The best advice I can give is to go to http://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/ . There is alot of info on that site that deals specifically with our cars.
Edit:
sorry, I meant to say - I am not totally sure

The 75 shot sounds about right to me as well , I wouldn't go much higher that for now.

75 shot is all the fuel pump could hang with in my '91 Formula.

you needed a new pump, i had the same pump in my vette, and my convertible T/A both stock pumps, they worked fine.

I am with L98. Stock systems will support a 150 shot if they are up to snuff and can fulfill 'new' OEM specs. Camaroz28.com and thirdgen.org all support the idea of stock systems living in the 150 range(and in some instances, even higher).

Check the classifieds on the www.camaroz28.com message board. As long as you have a Tuned Port car, the TPI and the LT1 kits will both work.

i don't really have to have a plate i'm probably just use a nozzle, so maybe it won't be soo obvious to people wanting to race, (im not planning on much hose because it's just a 305 w/ flat tops instead of dish pistons, hypertechtics (or however it's spelt), but i could just use a carburater kit, and chunk the plate, for a nozzle
