allrighty guys and gals, just gonna post up what i plan on putting into the car that i just recently got (mx-3)...see what you think, and lets see if you have any suggestions in the areas where i havent put too much thought.

Headunit: Panasonic Ghost CQ-HX2083U
Subwoofer: 15" Resonant Engineering XXX
Box: ported, 6^3 tuned to 34hz
Amplifier: Tsunami DB1800 (1x1800wrms @ 2ohm)

as for the mids & highs, im not really sure what brand/model i want to go with...i only want a set of REALLY GOOD components in the front soundstage, nothing in the rear. not really that concerned with price...but i dont want to pay more than a few hundred bucks for a pair of speakers. the amp i have in mind is the Tsunami DB4440 (4x110wrms @ 2ohm), but id be willing to try something else if the speakers needed it.

lemme know what you guys think...

Honestly, The Diamond Audio M6 series Mids are increadible. they are Diamond mid line speaker and run about $350.00pr in stores. I can get them at $250.00pr. Diamond Hex series are about $500 a pr but they are one of the Top 5 speakers in the audiophile world. Now if you just want good sound and loud mids go with something along the lines of a DB drive speed series and push the hell out of them. I can get those for around 150 or 200. Check some stuff out at www.Diamondaudio.com or www.dbdrive.net. now to be straight up. to have enough mid to keep up with that sub with 1800W. you will need about (6) 6.5's and roughly 1/2 the watts as the bass. so if you have 1800watts of Bass you will need roughly 900watts of mid to be even. Then again you can do like I did and turn the sub down for normal listning and up for showing off.

well i most definately dont plan on running the sub at full blast constantly. granted, i am a male, and i will be turning it up from time to time :) but usually i roll with the music not too loud. and i crank it up when need be. adire audio is coming out with a new set of components using the Koda drivers, those i am very interested in. but im checking out the links you offered as we speak :D
