Well today was our streetbike shootout.The bike count was down from last month,but none the less a very fast field!Hotrod Jr. appeared to be the bike to beat as he laid down a couple of 6.18's and 6.19's and a bunch of 6.20's.But that is why we race these things.Jr had some bad luck and qualified further back and i had him first round.Darren Burnette had blown his clutches out in practice so i let him ride my new Gsxr and i rode the zx9r.Anyway,i tree'ed Jr. and barely beat him as he ran much faster than i did but it came down to the tree. That was my only hope,and i took it with a 004 light! Meanwhile Darren was getting used to the Gsxr just fine as he was number one quliafier at 6.27 @118 mph. On my stock bike!Anyway,i had him in the semi's and again,i killed the tree but wheelied too bad and had to set it back down and he got me. He went on to win the 1000 class! So the winner of the 1000 was Darren Burnette(Dash on here),2nd place went to Gary not sure of last name,semi's were Jamie Millholland(Hotrod) and Doug Brewer(Crash king)!On to the 1300 class.Again,Darren (Dash) was flyin' but the stock clutches were getting weak. To make a long story short,Travis Henery won the class (6.31) to Darren's 6.29. Wake up now Dash,you can go the light is green! Darren put me out again,also put Jr. out and everyone else in his way.Jr was still the fastest of the day,but the track was going south.600 class was won by Chad Millholland running a 6.32 on a zx6r.Sheeze...Randal gave him a great race and ran a 6.51.Those 600's are flyin'!The bracket class had like 20 bikes and I got down to 3.Eitherway,it was a blast and had a great time.Oh yeah,the wheelie contest was won by Mark on a Gsxr 1300 hayabusa! Had a blast and hope everyone come's out to the next one!
