WTB street strip car

Well I sold my car and am looking for a good street strip car.

I am looking to spend a max of $6,000 but under is good lol.


RWD or AWD only.

I was looking at fox body Mustangs but am open to others. Might even consider a roller if the price is right and the body/interior is nice. I was even looking at MK3 Supras :shocked: I prefer stick shift.

A fast VW Bug would be fun.

I would really like to find a slightly built Fox body GT for around $3,000 and slap a supercharger on it :)

There is an 87 Turbo MKIII supra 5spd in the paper, i think its white.

its in the news sentinel. Or it was wednesday at least. Im sure its still there.

I know a guy with a pretty damn nice beetle that he would more than likely be willing to part with. You would have to make it fast yourself. Its in pretty good condition though.

I have an 88 coupe 4 cylinder conversion. All wiring harnesses swapped, none hacked or spliced. Car is red on red, non a/c car with a decent interior. It honestly could use a little body work (front bumper cracked from strap and normal small dings on car), and a good cleaning on the inside.

Car has
.040 over 302 with b cam
complete mass air setup
stock heads and intake
Lontubes (not sure on brand, look to be older headers)
8.8 rear with 2.73 gears,
Stillen front pads, flowmasters
new 255 fuel pump
new head gaskets (passenger side was blown when I bought the car)
fuel pressure guage under the hood
new battery
new heater core
4 speed manual trans from older gt
have a very used pair of et drags mounted on 4 lug wheels, if you want em take em with the car

It however needs
a new gauge cluster (only tach and fuel gauge work)
new starter (the one in it now starts and hasnt left me stranded, but sometimes will not engage on first try)
could really use a paint job ( a decent 500 footer, but I would have it painted)
an exhuast gasket between passenger side header and mid pipe ( has small leak, not totally anoyying but noticeable to me).

I have a little over 3.5k in the car and would like to get 3 out of it. Car is located in Oak Ridge, and I a getting the car changed over to a TN title next weekend. Car drives well, and just made the 300 mile trip from Birmingham, AL without any problems. I bought it to set up as a street/strip type car, but just dont care to drag race any more, and want to buy an sn95 for a weekend car.
