Surely around metro atlanta (i.e. kennesaw, marietta) has something fast worth talking trash with. Anyone, I have a mustang with a bunch of bolt-ons.

There are fast cars there, I just dont think there are many people from the area on here yet.

I'd talk trash but my car isn't fast. I only have some basic bolt ons. Maybe I could talk trash saying that my car is slower than anybody's on this forum!
OK. Who want's to race? The last one to the finish line wins! :D

That Viper sounds really nice...you ever race it....for money perhaps?
Martin can't race it because he'd lose to me. :)
Granted, Martin's car is fast. But is it fastER??? I don't think so.

I tell ya, where are you guys at when I'm out. All I ever get are some turd ass midly modded vipers to play with, and if they aren't that, then they are just stock and it's some kid that borrowed it from their dad.

For money? Shit man, I can hardly afford to put gas in the car - plus, I am one of those lame as racers that just do roll on's from 50 - 150. I can assure you though.....I am always ready to roll!
As for you Mr. Dell. You know, you might have a leg to stand on - IF YOU HAD A DAMN CAR. Seems like you are always in the shop....What good is 900 horsepower if it is always on blocks!!
;)
But really, you know your place in line.....how is the view from back there?

Nope none of that lately. Anyone going up to Atlanta Dragway this friday for Test and Tune? How about meeting up there.
Hey Mustang23lx you should bring it up to Commerce and get a few break in Banzi runs. Dad got his car back yesterday so we are going to try and make it up there. My car is not back to- gether yet so I will be just spectating

I plan to run the 1/4 as soon as I put my other gears in. Your dad needs to let me drive his car down the 1/4 once :D.

I have a white coupe. It used to be my daily driver with a charger and all. I have since sold the charger and went with a nitrous combo. As of late, I usually drive my F250 and the stang sits in my garage. We definately need to hook up.
NutZForSale- what's going on? Long time no see. How's the coupe coming along?

what made you switch to Nitrous? Have you seen me out in my car? I have to say unfortunatly I am not sure if i have seen your car. There was a guy that used to have a white coupe (it might be you) but I have not seen it around in a while. Are your windows tinted real dark?
You have probably seen the Blue one with two white stripes (around Buford). It's a 1991 with an S-trim. It's pretty damn fast too. There is also a guy that has a white Hatch (fox body) I have seen lately around Buford. Haven't been able to get next to him and race yet though.

Hey mustang23lx I'm sure my dad would let you race his car. Try your car with the 373 gears you might be surprised. It would probably be fine. I'm sure your car rev's a lot better than mine!

I used the 1/4 mile calculator by giving it my tire size, the transmission type, gear I'd cross the traps in, and the mph I'd most likely run and it is WAY too high for what I'd like to cross at. I'll put the gears in some time soon when I get a free second though.

what would my RPM and Mph supposed to be?
mustang23LX
02-26-2003, 05:34 PM
I used the corrals tech calculator...i think www.prestage.com has one for tires sizes with drag slicks (i.e. not 255/40....rather 26X10...). It's purpose is to figure out one of the variables...you enter your trap speed, gear, transmission type, and gear you are in across the traps, and it will tell you how many rpm you have to turn to be able to make that work.

Yeah the white one with the really dark windows was most likely me. I changed over to nitrous because it free'd up some money to work on other projects and ideas that I had for the car. Yeah I have seen you at the track in yours and also seen the blue and white stripped one.
What does the white hatch look like? I probably know him. If it is the one that I think it is, the car is actually black now but not positive.

I definately have to agree with ya on that....if all you are worried about is mph you should compete in dyno contests and let me stick to the dead stop shit.

Right - the age old debate....... Girth or Length.
So basically what you are saying is that you don't do shit for MPH.
And that is ok. Just watch out for me on the highway!

nope, what I'm saying is if we race in a 1/4 mile like YOU ASKED TO DO...that your MPH doesn't mean $HIT if your E/T is slower than mine. So if we put money on a race and you can't get to the finish line faster then you lose the money. So your analogy isn't remotely the same. Also, a high mph to slow E/T is a good sign of a lack of driving skills so if that is what you are trying to show everyone then have at it. You still will have lost the 1/4 mile race that you asked to run to begin with and the money along with it. But at least you get the satisfaction of knowing that you ran a higher mph i guess .

Hey 98 RT 10 if you are all worried about mph than my cousin has a bike that he would love to win your money with...if you are all worried about power than go to a dyno and stay there.. if you want to run from a dead stop 1/8 mi or 1/4 mile then put your $$$ where your mouth is and I will add your nutz to the collection.

The reason most of these people are not commenting on their MPH is probably the same reason I am not. For one my name is not John Force and I do not get paid to race my car and I dont have 15 people that someone else pays to work on my car,2- my dad is not loaded so pretty much my car is on my budget. So sometimes I try to get 1/100 of the money out of the car that I have put in by racing for $$$ but you seem that you dont race from a dead stop for money so I will tell yeah..........69mph:D

My coupe with the old charger combination went a best of 127 mph but averaged around 125.
Now the car traps around 107-110 on motor with the 3:55 gears- which aren't right for my combo.
Turbo Matt
02-27-2003, 05:07 PM
That would put you in the 10's (127mph). Too fast for me! I'm happy with my 11 second performance. Especially since I have not touched the engine and still have A/C and emmision freindly. The engine has 110,000 miles.
Mustang23lx has the same combination as me except his engine has had a little work done and he is pushing 526hp at the wheels. It sure does give me somthing to look forward too when I go into my engine for the rebuild.

98RT10, that's awesome that your car traps that fast in the 1/4 but once again...you challenged people to a 1/4 mile race. That means, the first person to the end wins - NOT the person with the highest mph. The perfect example is this guys turbo mustang running 11.30's @ 136 (almost identical to YOUR mph w/ spray), that is fine from a really fast role, but by all means, don't challenge another car to a 1/4 mile race that runs 17mph slower and a faster E/T. That would be a quick way to lose your money. If your car is trapping that kind of mph, USE THAT TO YOUR ADVANTAGE - find people that will race something OTHER than at a dragstrip...clearly your car doesn't perform well there according to how they gauge that (fastest E/T winning). So, ask them to run anything like a fast rolling street race or something, just not the 1/8 and 1/4 b/c you are asking to lose money. That's all I was trying to say.
