I doubt this'll interest anyone here (it is going on honda-tech and sccaforums here in the next few days), but it is pretty easy to copy & paste from the ETR forum. Anyway...

original white paint, ~221k miles, straight body with the usual nicks and scratches of a car this age, the only rust is on the sunroof (comes with rust free replacement), interior good, usual wear & tear on driver's seat. Car runs very strong for what it is...

- custom 4 point rollbar built by Chris Schimmel (currently out of car)
- Koni Yellows, Ground Control coilovers (450lb F, 400lb R ERS springs) and Ground Control upper shock mounts (purchased new from Redshift over the winter, installed this spring)
- 22 mm rear sway bar
- 205/50/15 Azenis RT615's mounted on 15x7 bronze Falken Hanabi wheels (purchased brand new this spring, ~ 80 autocross runs and ~ 100 street miles on the combo). These tires basically look brand new.
- 195/60/14 Azenis RT215's mounted on 14x6 lightweight American Racing wheels (still good for practice, track, whatever)
-14x6 Borbet wheels with high treadwear Kumho all seasons
- six 235/45/13 Kumho Ecsta V700's with lots of tread left (sorry, no wheels)
-CD player, wired for an MP3 player
-random extras

Most of you guys know the car. I'm really torn about selling it because the car is VERY fun to drive, SO cheap to operate, and I'm just starting to get the hang of it (one of these days I'm going to stick with a car and be quick). I just don't have the time or room or motivation to keep multiple cars. Car is very quick as it sits (I haven't shown it, but Robert beat Doug's time at the Huntsville T&T in his 2nd run in the car), with LOTS of low hanging fruit (alignment, an EASY 150lbs to drop, intake/header, etc).

The car gets ~ 35 mpg on a mix of autocross, highway, and city driving. The one time I drove back from Atlanta at the speed limit, I got > 40mpg.

Asking $4000 for everything. If you price CRX's, look at what this car has, and what this car needs to be nationally competitive, I think you'll find that price to be very reasonable.

I'll be happy to answer any questions here, through PM, or in person at the next autocross.

One might even venture as far as to say "race car".

Alright. I'm autocrossing it tomorrow and then plan to put it on H-T and sccaforums. Good cheap way for somebody to get into autocrossing (or put together a car for a class) or do track days or whatever.

Will consider trades for Miatas, 88-95 Civic's, DA Integra's, or a good reliable non race car with auto & a/c.

Put the car up on H-T and I've decided that I want to hang onto the 15x7's and Azenis, so price is going down. Make an offer if interested.

I won't be pulling the coilovers and crap off unless I stumble across a clean stock motor, no transmission grind '89 Civic Si.

:rofl4: Pretty bad when the FD guy even thinks your price is 50% too high.

He's confused by the untouched 221k mile engine that runs great.

You guys obviously haven't read the forum rules.

I'm just trying to sell this car so I can buy my dream car!!!!!1 All I'm asking is payoff!!!!!1

Good luck with the sell. I think it is a fair price for what you're getting. A little sorting and somebody could go road racing cheap. Of course a lot of the people on here think that road racing is like what they do on the Fast'n'Furious, so of course they think the price is high with no tyte graffix.

4grand for a 16 year old Honda with over 200,000 miles on the STOCK power/drivetrain that has been open tracked/autocross the last few years of it's life? "Fair"?

AWDbandito

Yes, it is fair. It would cost someone that much to acquire the rollbar/suspension/wheel/upgrade options to add to their current CRX in order to participate in Hill Climbs, or Time Trials, so I say this is a great price for a starter car that somebody could jump in and start participating in higher speed motorsports. Some people want to spend money on making their crapstang fast, other people might just want to get out and race(somewhere other than a parking lot). As asinine as you can be sometimes Tony, I think you probably agree =)

Not to mention that you get tires for YEARS for that price and it is a good autocrosser and can be a GREAT autocrosser with some effort. Rob Carpenter made two runs in my car in Huntsville, then hopped in Doug Allen's car and made two runs. He ran a 54.0 in Doug's car and a 54.2 in my car....and my car is barely prepped at all. Doug's car isn't for sale, but cars prepped like his go for $6k - $8k all day long. Just ask JW.

I wouldn't pay $20k for a Supra, $14k for an RX7TT, or $12k for a 12 year old M3, or even $7k for a stock/stockish fox body. To each his own. If you don't want a cheap autocross/track car and a CRX is just another car to you, this is probably a crappy deal. I understand that. However, if you want a cheap autocross/track car that can double as a REAL CHEAP commuter, this is a good deal....

Taking a 100whp 200,000 mile Honda on a "hillclimb" sounds more painfull than getting kicked in the nuts 47 times.

AWDbandito
10-23-2006, 01:38 PM
I'll let ya run a hillclimb in my 170k mile 100whp race car, then I'll kick ya in the nuts just 4 times.....then you can tell me which you liked better. Ohhh, wait. You only race in parking lots, straight lines, or circles.

Well, that certainly is a NARROW list of the type's of racing I do. You left out ZIG ZAG's, loopdy loops. :rolleys:

Yup, autocrossers can be pretty retarded. Won't argue there.

They are fun cars. I've enjoyed every car that I've ever autocrossed, except m00's 240, but a lot of people hate autocrossing big heavy cars like Mustangs or they want to "compete against the best" on a budget. Anyway....

Red better get to crackalackin' if he wants to sell his car before my overpriced, high mileage fagmobile sells. I have deposit in hand.
