Who's going to attend the Bash this weekend, and what are you going to be driving? I'm planning on putting the Viper in the car show (weather permitting) and may bring the Boxster to autocross. No drag plans at the moment. And if I wind up trailering the snake the 20 miles to Bristol don't laugh at my azz because it'll be so I can bring both my boys with me and not b/c I didn't want to drive the car. ;)

It's a great event. It starts with the streetfights on Friday night, and then Sat/Sun they have dragracing, autocross, car show, and manufacturer's midway all going on at once. They also have a portable dyno and a contest for highest hp, a play area with inflatable slides, face painting etc. for the kids, and several other things. It's sponsored by Year One and they really do it right. One note: Year One specializes in parts for older muscle cars, and the car show categories are keyed to their individual catalogues for those cars; everything else goes in the "other" category. Well I have to say the Bash appears to have become the largest automotive event in the Tri-Cities in only its third year. The entire area around and between the speedway and the dragstrip was covered with show vehicles, manufacturer's midway, drag cars & trailers, the autocross, kid's play area, portable dynos (yes two this time), etc. Hot laps were going on the speedway at the same time drag racing and autocrossing were going on, and it seemed to me that there were people there from everywhere east of the Mississippi and probably some places west of that. I saw cars from at least 15-20 different states. I don't know what they're going to do for room if it gets any larger.
I saw an Ultima GTR at the autocross, which was the first one I'd ever seen. All in all a great event and great weather. If you missed it you definitely should check it out next year.

I was there all day friday. Couldnt go on sat/sun ((#*$&(#*(%#*&%(#*& WORK!!!!!) Anyway got to see some fast cars run on Fri. Anyone know the guy with the blue 260ZX? He was running very low 10's all morning on fri. I heard he owns a local speed shop. At least I got to get my car dynoed. I was happy with 316.8 RWHP and 332.4 RWTQ. not to bad for stock. Wish I could have made the rest of the weekend!!

The guy with the 260Z is John Phillips he is a tech and represenative for Nitrous Express. Also, the car went 9.1 @ 150 that weekend. He also has a shop in Erwin I think its called Phillips' Motorsports or something.

Is that the blue Z with the V-8? I've seen it run before, and it is definitely fast; lots of power I'm sure, and I bet that thing is really light too.

Loadre, sure e-mail them to me at the address in my profile if they're digital. The other board looks pretty good; maybe we can get a little cross-pollination going with this one. :)
