ok can you install an x cam on a bone stock 92 h.o i have been told you could but i have also been told the biggest you can go is the f cam

I am not 100% sure on this, but I think you will need to fly cut the pistons. At any rate you would need to check piston to valve clearance to be on the safe side.

I have been told that you can run up to .544" lift on a stock bottom end and no bigger than 1.94 valves. Of course, this is a guideline, not an answer. You would need to check clearance as stated above. It seems that it is worth a shot.

Tolerances for each and every motor are different just because one guy gets by with no problem doesnt mean you can mirror what he done with the same result. Check piston to valve clearance and look for 0.080" clearance on the intake valve and 0.100" on the exhaust

:werd: Lift has nothing to do with P/V clearance. Bigger valves definatly have less clearance because it brings the edge of the valve out of the relief pocket. There are so many variables here....check it no matter what cam you install.
