I bought this car about two years ago on this forum and have about 3k tied up in it. Its a 97 civic ex coupe(green),138-140k on it with tokico illumina struts, coilovers, and thermal r&d exhaust, new tires, axles, pads and rotors. The car has been in a fender bender once upon a time but has a clean title. The a/c,heat, and everything work with the exception of cruise which has a vacuum line unplugged.
THE BAD
Front clip has been completely repainted and the driver side of car has been blended as well. Paint matches(expensive paint) nice but is flaking on bumper from curb rash. Also the lovely individual who painted the car neglected to primer over a patch of bondo on the hood so it shows through pretty badly.
The windshield is scraped up from lack of wiper blades.
Car has ghetto type r headlights that are poorly done(not by me).
Exhaust leak(probably donut gasket).
Last but not least...I drove the car for two years with an intake manifold gasket leak. I paid a mechanic to replace the gasket and the car idled much worse because of the el cheapo gasket i bought from autozone and has been sitting ever since. It now has a completely dead battery and hasn't been touched in a while.

To sum this all up I drove this car for almost a year and half straight to cookeville and back every week and averaged about 34-36mpg with a gasket leak. Aside from the funky idle and some oil burning i have had no mechanical issues with this car whatsoever. It would make a perfect beater and actually is very nice looking when clean. I am really just looking to cut my losses at this point and get this thing off my insurance. If your interested and want some more information just pm me and we'll talk. I'm accepting all offers over 1500 bucks. I can also provide some parts if there is any interest. Thanks

it is one and the same. the car used to have a jackson supercharger on it...hense the intake manifold gasket leak after the switch.the car as it sits is NOT running but i would assume it would start if i charged/bought a battery. Pics are on the way as its not currently at my home so i'll snap some as soon as i can. the current offer is 1800. i also have a spare y7 shortblock and y8 if anybody is interested in that stuff.
