There are a few of us here in the SCCA.

R8CEMY7, Didn't I see you at the last autocross at Smokys Stadium? Not racing, just watching.

I thought about running but wanted to get the wheel situation straightened out first. Maybe I can ride with someone at the first race and run the second.:D

Ben got me interested in the SCCA racing. I went to a couple of them and Ben finnaly talked me into running my WS6. I didn't break any records but it was still fun. With a little luck, I hope to run in a couple more races this year.

I can't say enough good things about SCCA. I had the opportunity and sponsorship to run GT1 and FX/P classes from 1979- 1983. Our GT1 Porsche 911 was a factory RSR. Our FX/P car was my favorite, a MG Midget and in 1983 was the South East National Champion. It was a real blast to drive but was kinda hard on McDaddy at Charlotte Motor Speedway (now Lowes). Fun times and taught me a lot. Good Program. I would love to run SCCA vintage again someday. Ever been to a Road Atlanta event?

OK guys and Girls ( I know there must be some reading this.)

The first event of the East Tennessee Regional SCCA is March 15th and 16th. The 15th is tenatively a test and tune day and the 16th is our first points event.

If you are interested in an end of year trophy you must be a SCCA member (plus it saves you $5 at each event.) You must also make at least 6 events to qualify for the end of year. Plus it's great fun.

On a side note. Howie, Have you looked into those TD04-13g turbos we talked about at the Gap?

Larry,
Looking forward to a lot of trips to Chat. to race with you guys.

hey bandit, it doesnt take but one race to get hooked does it.....i am glad you tried it out. john, whatever on the re-size, that would be fine with me. by the way i tried the other pics you hosted for me and the last two will not pull up, i think it was my one footed stand-up wheelie, and the bike burn-out.
c-ya then,
ben

u shouldn't have a problem with breaking anything, u are mainly doing hard cornering and hard accelerration. I will be running my daily driven 200+ KMI car

hi, guys!

I am new to this forum and wanted to say hello.
Last year I had so much fun at the SCCA autocross events. I had not done any kind of racing thing before, but it went just fine. 1/4 mile stuff sounds fun, too. I guess I wll try sometime.

Bad Man,

Come on out. Ask anyone here that has raced, we would really like everyone to join us. Those that race with us can tell you how much fun it is.
