body kit

I have a 1990 jetta that i am customizing and i can not find any body kits for any year over 1993. Could i buy a body kit for a 1993 jetta and modify it for my 1990?

I am sure it is possible but it depends on the amount of work you are willing to invest and the amount of experience you have with fiberglass.
