This is funny comming from you Rife. Every year or so, you get in these like weird car moods. You talk about a new car, selling another one, getting something else, getting out of the whole thing, and then you jump right back in it again. Why not just sit at home, and play Gran Turismo?

I bought the CRX in May '05, called my agent, and he told me that Safeco would send me a bill. Instead, they sent me a refund check for ~ $80. In October '05, I received my renewal. It reflected the same rate. Same thing in April '06. In October '06, my rate dropped about $16. In November '06, I sold the car, and notified my agent. Safeco sent me a small refund check. This seemed strange to me, so I looked at my old renewal. The multi-car discount was less significant, but my rates had dropped, also.
The numbers aren't significant (but it starts to add up when you consider registration and the other expenses that comes with owning a car) and that isn't the primary influence behind no longer wanting to keep two cars. After selling the CRX, I found life a tad simpler without having to keep up with a second car.

I should have a m3 soon I will be selling for pretty cheap if you are interested. If you dont mind changing an $80 window regulator once a year and changing the oil it shouldnt really need much maintenance. I even heard they were decent at autox. I really dont see why you dont sell everything you have and buy a 12-14k m3 or s2000 and just enjoy the car. Payment would be less than what you are paying now and both of those cars are proven as far as reliability. I dont even know why I am posting this.

I don't really care about performance, so I don't really care for paying extra for it. It is a good autocross car for what it is.
With that said, resale value seems to be higher than I expected, so that sort of puts a wrench in that idea. I figured a 3 year old car with 40k miles on it would cost a few thousand less than a new one like all other non-Supras.

An s2000 is touted as almost the ONE car that needs no further suspenion mods, other than tires, to be a great autox car.....and you dont like them?
Sorry but i bet a CRX is almost as "revvy" as a s2000 or RX8.
Id never get an RX8 with the s2000 on the market....i almost got an s2000 but the prices on decent mileage ones were still slightly high for me.
I think the only real froogle options here are
1. buy a miata and a beater, two cheap cars you could have paid off in no time.
2. buy an s2000 and daily drive it as well....its almost certainly not going to break and is very reliable, and handles well.
If you are serious about autox, then dont bring a cbring to a gun fight, get something that is good STOCK and throw some decent tires on and be done. Your method of finding the hardest possible way to do something is why you hate life so bad.

I would love to own an S2K, myself. But I can't afford a 3rd car and I have put too much time into my WRX to give it up. Plus, we would then be a two-convertible household, and that's a little too Metro for my tastes, as well as impractical.
The A-stock S2K is definitely the cheaper option over a B-stock RX8. The 8 is a newer car and has to run 18 inch race tires, whereas the S2K can be on 16's or 17's depending on the year.

Bottled, you just love making friends. You're so nice to everyone, and you never say anything negitive about there opinions.
as for noone showing up to race you. There are what...3 or 4 people with WRX's on this forum. I live in Jacksonville FL, and I am sure noone whated to got to Kar Kare in fucking 30* weather just to race your honda. Get over it!
and your any more of a friend maker? You talk shit on a forum for a city in tennessee and you live in floriday currently? Talk on the florida forum and fuck off on this one. I never had an issue directly with you from the get go but my oppinion and your reactions are what got most this shit started. Its not my fault that I saved like $7,000 and am just as fast as your little sedan.

Please refrain from acting as if a fuckin Civic Si is a good performance "bargain". you should concentrate on getting your FI 4-cylinder to run faster than an Odyssey. I just dont see how you can rag on ANYONE else for their car choice.

Are you retarded? I payed under retail for my civic.. you can't be hosed if you pay under retail on a car based on numbers that the ENTIRE United States USES!

Eclipse.. i swear we go over this and over this.. but i am trying to compare apples to apples.. 9 second cars... price vs performance... i understand that either one of these choices are not a good performance car for the price compared to paying a little more for a lot more car... but you need to keep in mind the mindset of the majority of people around here having 9 second cars or worse....
if i was trying to compare apples to oranges.. my civic vs your mustang then yeah that'd be retarded...
And you don't know how my car runs I just call it a piece of shit because I don't give a fuck what anyone thinks on how it runs nor do I car to toss out numbers and what it does run in the 1/8th until I get some more things tweaked and have time to test and tune.
P.S. I guess im not included on the invite to come up there and run at your 1/4 track up there? lol...

The pic was in a thread on nasioc that I'm subscribed to. I just thought it was fitting.
And I will be working tonight, so you'll just have to accept the fact that SCF has F'd you in the A.

Not talking shit, all I've done is stated facts. It's not my fault that those facts hurt your feelings.
If you seriously want to fight someone over the FACT that your car is not as fast as you think it is, you should take a look in the mirror to see the retard.
On SCF you either roll with the punches or you will get pissed off. And as I've said before, if you can't laugh at yourself, don't laugh at anyone.
