I have a LG LCD HD TV with HDMI connection (as well as others) and a Phillips DVD player with the upconvert feature using a HDMI cable. I have tried 2 cables and when I set the TV input to HDMI (which is only available when a cable is plugged in), it says no signal. tried all kinds of output setting on the DVD player and TV but no go. It works great with component inputs, just not the HDMI which according to specs should make DVD's look better. Anyone have any thoughts?

Sorry, I am not that familier with Home Video. Have you set the DVD players output to HDMI? I kno when using my DVD and the optical settings I had to switch it in the DVD and the TV.

:agreed:

Also check your TV input with your TV remote. On my TV ( RCA DLP HDTV ) I have 6 input options: input 1, 2, 3, 4, front input (S-Video), and HDMI input.
