New Best @ Steele today but the stock longblock finally let go

this one is my first when I just did an 1/8 pass to make sure everyone was working correctly

this is the pass the engine finally let go after 5 years of racing and over 350 passes , she was built Ford Tuff:D ,

the motor let go around the 1200 ft mark which probably woulda ran a low 10.30 maybe , I was in the right lane

How do you like Steele? Rather, racing there, any complaints about the track?

I have always liked to run Steele , track is consistent . Plenty of room on the track for anything that goes wrong to the car .

What do you think blew? The bottom end of that motor is pretty stout except the pistons right?

yes you're still running but we're just racing for the hell of it and from a pretty fast roll so didn't figure you'd want to run as you'd likely get beat good from a quick roll since you're not setup to do it. as for nosfedgta, i've seen your car run - definitely faster than mine or tony's but the more the merrier since nothing is on the line but a good time.

23lx, I will admit this. so far you have a faster time slip than me in the 1/4 when I ran at silver dollar that day I had to hit the brakes to win in my class. I still have not mad a full pass with the new suspension. I would love to see what it would do.

from a roll I am not sure what I can do. I raced like that one time and it was close! I just ran out of gear and my shiftlight was glowing at me for like 5 sec's. I just barley beat him. Now from a stop I killed him, but hey th350's and 6 speeds are not even :)

not until he rewires the nitrous kit the way i think he should :D
even nutz has said that from a roll, there would be no point, he runs out of gear before approaching 1/4 mile trap speeds and just isn't fast enough. that's ok though, it does what it needs to do on the street from a stop though - he's more of playing the traction game and using what you've got resourcefully (i.e. dead hook).

nosfed, i'm not sure which day you're referring to but i was at the F-body shootout and i believe i recall that car going way faster than what mine does - coulda been someone else but i don't think so.

shankin, not sure yet, i'm still checking on finding someone to work for me.

It was at the f-body shootout. I have a red 88 trans am GTA witha 4in cowl. The fastest you saw it go that day due to my class was an 11.0

From a roll I can do ok I think. I have a ford 9in with 3.70's in it and I dont take it past 6500. My shift light is at 5700 :)
