How does the E-303 cam do for forced induction? Keep in mind, I'm very NOT knowledgeable on these engines.
Also, what type of ignition does this engine have? EDIS?
I assume it comes with intake and injectors as well?
Any photos, please?
Thanks

Here's a link to the specs on the cam: http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=1329
It should work great with forced induction.
You will need an 1986-96 5.0 mustang ignition and EEC/TFI distributor for fuel injection with a steel distributor gear.
I used this engine in my 83 GT with a Carb and MSD Distributor, so I don't have the fuel injection intake, injectors, or distributor.

What HP did this motor make on all motor?

I never had it on a dyno, but it ran low 12's at Bristol FFW True Street a few years ago. The car weighs 3000 pounds with me in it so thats around 325hp to run that et.

Not too shabby at all. What type of redline do you have on that motor?

I shifted it at 6000rpm.

Not too bad. What would it take to raise that rev limit? Springs in the heads? Different stroke? Where in the rpm range does the power fall off?
Sorry to exhaust you with questions, but these are important. I'm considering your engine as a swap into my 240sx, but it'll be a forced induction setup and I wanna be sure I can rev it on out. 6000 isn't bad, but 7000 would be better, so long as the torque stays up in that range.
Also, is there a waterpump option that keeps the pulley closer to the engine?
Thanks again. I'll probably be in touch very soon.

No problem. To raise the rev limit I would recommend a larger cam and different valve springs. I would check with a good cam manufacturer like comp cams to see what they recommend for your combination. You could use a water pump and accessories/brackets from a 94-95 Mustang or an Explorer with a 5.0. They use a much shorter water pump and will give you more clearance. My dad recently installed a 5.0 in a Ranger and that's what he used.

Yeah, that's what I'm talkin' about.
How do you feel about a pair of GT2871's on this motor?

I think it would be mean in that lightweight car. Easy 450-500hp with the right tune. To save some money you could also get an Explorer intake/throttel body. They came from the factory with an intake similiar to a GT40/Cobra.
