Chesnut Station and the Downtown Tavern are pretty good bars. Next to CS is Peabodys and it is more for the younger crowd with the blasting music with the floor bumping. More good places to eat is Jeffersons on broad street they gave some of the best wings around. Maters pizza and pasta on 4th street (pizza, oysters). Cooter Browns have real good ribs. Where is your fathers cabin on Weiss Lake? I live in Centre on the banks of beautiful Weiss Lake.
