need help with 90 stereo install

Hey guys can you please tell me why my brand new stereo is not working in my 1990 lx. the factory radio worked but didn't have cd player, so i pulled it out bought a new kenwood stereo/cd player and bought the wiring kit so i would'nt have to cut the factory harness. wired it all up and the stereo comes on but i have no sound ??? w.t.f. ?? whats the trick to getting it to work?? any help please....

Make sure whether or not your car came with the upgraded sound system from the factory. My guess is that there are factory amps that run the system and the wiring harness you purchased didn't allow for the remote wires to turn the factory amp on..

Yeah make sure the blue wires are connected.
