Looking for an offroad shop around Paulding, Polk, Floyd area. Need a good shop. I just bought a lifted 02 Jeep Cherokee Laredo and it has death wobble and I need it to be fixed. If someone can recomend me one I'd appreciate it. If possible post a website. I know of 4wheel parts in Marietta but looking for others. THANKS

A buddy of mine is a jeep person who does work on the side down in Lindale. He may be able do the work and save you some bucks, too. Let me know if you want his number.

I've heard horror stories about the labor they do. A lot of times that seems to be the case with your bigger, more national type of shops. Albeit off-road/performance/etc. The sales guys may know what the hell they're doing, but usually they have either minimum wage, or not much over, very young, shop guys whom I wouldn't let change the spark plug in my lawnmower.
Hell, even the sales guys are a little subject. I had to go back up there after the last set of wheels I bought from them. They sold me two of one offset, two of another, when they were all four suppose to be the same.

i have heard of some horror stories, the latest was a guy sent his hd in for about 5000 in work and parts (should have been right at 4100) then when they got it in and apart hit him up for another 800 worth.
they are over priced badly. dont follow there own ads for sale prices. and just generly have gone down hill over the past few years.
i go to performance off road in athens for parts, they are fixing to open another one out off of 369 just north of cumming next to gainesville which will make my life easier lol. i would just recommend going somewhere that has a good rep. good luck

OK thanks. I was actually considering going with them. Now I know I wont. Also thought about droping my current warranty and go with their warranty which covers lifts, etc. And $600 cheaper than my current one but im not.
The dealer told me to get an estimate from a shop for a front drive shaft and to fix that death wobble and if its not highly priced they will pay for it.
Thanks again

I had the Gwinnett 4Wheel Parts (out on Buford Hwy) install polyurethane bushings in allof the suspension in my old Dakota back in 1999 before I knew jack shit. They charged me $900 and I even brought them the parts. If you take $65 an hour in labor (which was probably high for 8 years ago), that's over 13 hours. They only had the truck for one day starting at 9am.
Now that I am hearing these stories it all makes sense. Fortunately, it's been so long that i dont' care about that anymore. But looking at it, I did get raped pretty hard.
