Do you prefer for the first kit to cut off when the 2nd kit comes in or to add the 2nd kit to the first?

Say you leave on a 75 shot and then have the second kit come in on an additional 75 shot or leave on a 75 shot and then have a 150 come on at the same time the 1st kit cuts off regardless if it is on a button, timer, etc.?

For ref. sake let's say it is a carb'd dual shot cheater plate kit.

I've done it both ways. Its probably a little easier to tune if you cut the first one off, rather than keep it on though.

i usually leave first kit on in case for some reason it doesnt turn off you wont have both on un expectedly and hurt some parts.

Chris, I have a dual stage big shot plate and the way its set up only one stage can be on at a time because it only has 1 set of spray bars. I would say it all depends on the type of kit you have and how it was designed. Some kits have 2 sets of spray bars and are designed to be on at the same time. Crossbar designs are designed to have both stages equal or close to it, say 100 on each stage for 200 total. The dual inline spray bars can be staggerd like 75 then a 150 and both can be on at the same time. The plate you have will be the determining factor. I have my first kit (small shot) on a wide open switch and my 2nd stage (big one) on a button if I need it, but it cuts off the first stage as soon as you touch the button.

If it's just a 75 shot, I think it would be a lot easier to run one kit on top of the other.

I like to run one, then another and then another at the same time and if I has another hand would go for another.... lol

I ran em at the same time..

then I got new pistons. But 250 on top of 250 is a lot!
I say do whatever you are comfortable tuning, but considering is is only a 7 shot, i would just jet that one up and leave on 150!

I like to run the first one all the time and put the second on a push button. Wire them both through a wot switch so if anything happens , getting out of the throtte shuts them both down. Also having the second one on a push button lets you get out of the second yet stay in the first if needed.

swingers right ....i've used them ether way and my best results are 1st kit on a switch and cuts off when the 2nd hits on a button . if you let out of the button the small kit is back on .
