There was quite a bit of test and tune going on today at Steele. Also, but at another track, Mrs Bugman is now the fastest of the Bugman group again, by 1/100 of a second.
Shankin made some noise today, on drag radials yet, cutting a 6.17. It just aint the same though with him driving an automatic.
However, the big news is Kenny Jackson's forfeit on the $1000 call out with Geezer. Seems he got fraidy scared and took his running gear and put it in Chuck Lawrence's Lil Red car. Chuck ran it today and cut a 5.70 on the first run with a loose converter.It might have been a good race, but we will never know now. I hope Gail doesn't find out about him losing the money. She will have them sewed back on just so she can cut them off!
