JL Audio offers great speakers and amps. but to prepare your wallet. but its all worth it anyway.

I tend to go with the Kicker solobaric subs, audiobahn for amps due to great price great product and great looks, I like Sony for their head units, they have outlasted any other brand I have purchased.

It all depends on how you want your system to sound, And how much money you wanna spend, Your want cheap low bass, audiobahn can't be beat, as for amps i have an ultra linear amp 2 ch. 3000 watts, It has been the best amp i've ever had, i have 2 12'' audiobahn immortals in my bronco and it hit 148db,
You want crisp sound quality and have the money then JL and fosgate is close to the top, but there are many sub brands that are awesome its just what u prefer.

Yes. Know what you want and the specs first. And what are the compatible stuffs for your ride. If you're just looking for brands, Pioneer and Kenwood are great.
