Thats the first time I have ever seen any of his runs, that thing is one bad ride. I was told that its a chebby motor with windsor valve covers though.
King Koupe your combo looks serious, be sure to introduce your self this weekend. I will be the one with a MIC in my hand. Jim Howe jr.

They are fixing to put weight on him to slow him down, he is running away from the pack. Small block nitrous windsor and yates heads and around 2500-2600#'s

it's a 440'' windsor with brodix neal heads that shit is bad has been 1.18 to the 60ft and 4.77 in the 1/8th on true 10.5's and sam is one hell of a guy

They have been arguing over on the FFW Forum for weeks now saying the Nitrous Yates Small Block has to have more weight because of what Sam is running??? Are you sure about the heads?

Carlo, maybe you are right about the 94MM and maybe not, I don't know, but here is the thing. We are not trying to equal the performance levels of SSO. Our original target for the class was to keep things in the high 7's, not the mid 7's. We may have missed with Sammy V's combination but so far, the other combos seem to be on (or a little ahead) of the original target. We are not planning to go to a 94MM turbo. If the weight is too high for the 91.5 turbo, we can look at that at the appropirate time. We went with the F-3 (with the reducer) to eliminate a breakage issue, not to increase performance of the blower cars. We are going to stay with that combo, and if we need to re-address the weighs for that combo, we can look at it. As far as a nitrous-Yates headed combo, that also needs to be looked at, at the appropriate time.

From where I sit, I can see that Sammy's nitrous-Yates combination IS running up to it's potential, but we can't make comparisons against other combos that are NOT running up to their potentials. I do think that there is more in Dan's and Travis's cars, and if it becomes necessary to look at the weights for that combo at some point, we will do it.
