The added sponsor should be great but looking at the flyer it would seem we are going to have to pay for our kids to come as well??? LOL that's not good when you have a lot of kids.. Is this correct all kids, regardless of age???

20$ bucks is not much money if u think about it. Circle track just normal watching is 30-35$ so i dont see a problem to see to 130,000 dollar cars at i 40 battling it out. That is what that track needs is publicity to put it on the map us wide!

hell go to the movie theater with your wife and 2 kids (I HAVE 4) the admission is cheap compared to a trip to the movies. I wish they were coming for free. But nothing in life is FREE. Better yet go to a MONSTER JAM, PINKS WAS $25.00 I think Monster jam cost me $100.00 for all of us. And it SUCKED!!!.

It is 12.00 in Seymour and kids under 12 are free and FFW you get 3 full days and many Pro/Outlaw/Renegade cars + 2 index 3 open comp format and 4 bracket classes all 1/4 mile for 15.00 more with kids free lol. No big deal the small kids just play in the dirt they could care less who is racing lol. It just might hinder some people from coming that's the only reason I said anything.:doh3:

I just knew in the past few weeks when it was mentioned about paying glidden to come, it was said no he wasn't paid. You just admitted to paying him to show if I read correctly. The reason I don't want to pay that much is because I have to work every Saturday and it would probably be 8 or so before I got there. See where I am coming from. Like wreckless said you can pay the same or less for a much bigger event.
As far as movies, we go and it's less than $30. :D

Money is tight for sure. I haven't had a good check in 3 months but that wasn't my point totally. I hate to pay $65 for just a couple to maybe 3 hours of watching since I have to work late and then drive an hour to get there.

They know their shiznit! It never gets old seeing the Big O Tires trailer come rolling in and the hardest working 2 person team!

I paid to get in to PINKS and race. I had a good time, but I've been on pins and needles waiting to see them go at it. ( Glidden and Lynch ) I don't care to spend the money to see it. I don't have kids and I know a few of the people that are coming with me do. I can see there point on this. We'll see what happens. But I know one way or the other I'll try to be there no matter what. I say it will be worth the money if they show up. This Sat. should be a hell of a good show. At least for me it will be.

To clear my post up, I wasn't saying much of anything on the 20.00 it's the 15.00 to bring a 2,3 and a 8 year old. If you can't understand that you need a DR. So now the only one watching the race has to pay 35.00 because they don't have a babysitter for late Saturday nights. And yes money is real tight when your rebuilding them Chebby trannies. But like Jr said "it is what it is" so the people with kids will either show or they won't. If we have the money we will be there, I know one guy right now won't be able too because he can barely afford to pay for himself. But that is just life. It's not something to make an issue out of. LOL life goes on, ain't that right.........

OK I have no major problem with the $20 adult admission. In essence an adult is paying $8 to see two cars make a sub 5 second pass. That is roughly a little over $2 a second. However you're contradicting what the flyer says here. It plainly states children under 10 $5.00. How do you get that is saving people money? You are charging for kids that before didn't have to pay. What age are you considering toddler?
Look at it this way: Big name sponsor for this race, beer sales, charge for children, bigger crowd. Sounds like you getting a little too greedy.

07-25-2007, 11:00 AM
Twenty bucks is a fair price for the entertaiment value! My wife says the kids should go to the grandparents house and spend the night if you have any and are worried about the admission for them. I bet if the two racers coming are selling shirts off their trailers for 25 bucks alot of guys/girls will buy them and not blink an eye doing so.
outlaw68
07-25-2007, 11:02 AM
Well I didnt have the BEER SPONSOR before and we have always gave breaks at the gate for large families so that is NO WAY being greedy, we have had a influx of people with kids with MUSTACHES saying the kids were under 10. So I will say I dont want to seem GREEDY. But this is a business and it has to make money, we have 10k in advertising out and if it rains who pays for all that? WE DO, you hope when you put a show on like this, that you make money that is what we are in business to do, and the track needs to make money to be able to expand and do other things. But the last thing that we want is to make it seem like we are being greedy.
SO I WILL DROP THE KIDS CHARGE... KIDS UNDER 10 WILL BE FREE. I am a father of 4 and I understand, but all the VENUE's we go to our kids have to pay, MONSTER JAM, WWE, DISNEY ON ICE, 6 FLAGS, DOLLYWOOD. THE MOVIES, EVERYWHERE. SO I GUESS YOU GUYS FEEL THOSE MULTIBILLION DOLLAR COMPANIES ARE NOT BEING GREEDY???
KIDS UNDER 10 WILL BE FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there a possibility of some kind of package for cars that are going to be running in the bounty race and the crew members. Like car, driver, and 2 crew members or is it $20 a person no matter what? I work on one of the cars that will be in the race and very rarely get the opportunity to see much of the racing. Just thought I would ask, we have about five cars coming from Chattanooga and they would like to know.

The way I understand it, BG and Lynch will both run in the bounty just like any other car. If by chance one gets beat or both and they don't get to race each other there will be a one run grudge match between them.
