That price is a little high. I can go to Sam's and get a 55" JVC HDTV for about $1300. I guess I just wouldn't pay that much for a used TV if a new one is even $200 more.
But good luck with the sale.

Dude do you even know what you're talking about??? Let me put it in terms that you would more likely understand.
Let's pretend I had a 05 GSXR600 for $5000
your response would be equivalent to you saying, "I can go to the Suzuki shop and buy Katana 600 for a few hundred more, your price is jsut too high"
are they the same engine size? almost, is it the same bike? NO!
The shittiest Sony model is far superior to a piece of crap JVC....besides, this bitch is SOLD!!!! for $1300.00:flash:

Let me put this in terms you understand. I bought a 50" plasma, brand new from Circuit City, 2 days ago for $1449. Thanks...and yes, Sony TV's are horrible compared to the one I got.
But oh well, you got the best end of the deal by getting about $300-400 more out of your TV then most normal people would pay for it. Congrats.

50" plasma for under $1500 and good quality, seems a little far fetched.
Which brand makes Sony so horrible?

It's a Panasonic, it was next to a Sony of the same size and more expensive and it was a much better picture.
Ask Jamison from the boards, he was with me when it was purchased.
Of course it was more with the warranty and tax but the warranty is well worth it in case something happens.

Are you sure you meant to say Panasonic? That is one of the last brands I would have thought of. Anyway, enjoy your plasma, baller.

This coming from a guy who thinks Sony is the best TV ever. Riiight, check any TV ratings and consumer reports, I believe Panasonic is #1. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though.

I'd rather own a samsung than a panasonic. :why:
Sony makes a decent product but they are getting worse by the day.

They had a Samsung right next to the Panasonic along with a Sony and Toshiba and the picture of the Panasonic was much better and the guy who works there said the Panasonic was a better quality TV.
Since it had the best picture and it was on sale I figured I would go with it. I don't think you can go wrong with a Samsung or a Panasonic.

My fiance's grandfather has the exact TV that was for sale in this thread and the picture is nothing close to comparable TV's I have seen.
But yes, Samsungs are nice.

I try not to go by picture quality at the stores, just because there are so many factors (type of connection, tv settings, blah, blah, blah, blah). Personally I have a Samsung and love it. Congrats on the purchase and congrats to the OP for the sell.

Well, i dont know HOW much truth there is to this.
But ive heard that in the stores the retailers will purposely fuck up settings on certain models because there is a larger profit margin or commission payout on certain models vs other models.
