what happened this past friday night? The car sounded pretty good, but ran faster when it didnt have an intercooler? I hate gremlins... Didnt it go 6.50's friday night.
So whats the next step shaneo? BBC and F3R???

turbo, I'd say.

jets are for carbs
pullies are for alternators
turbos are for big power.

it was breaking loose bad the other night, but the mph was way down. i just kinda get bored with stuff. it makes good power i just don't really have the time to play with it much. with the intercooler it shuld definitely go 5's on 20lbs. if i keep it i will put a wideband on it and i will be able to work out quite a few bugs with that. i learned several tricks from some very smart guys at fun ford about forced induction, so i may try some of them out soon, if i don't get any takers. the weather was not very helpful the other night either, heat and humidity is rough on forced induction cars!! went a 6.51 on 30 degrees timing and 15lbs. bumped it to 20lbs and 37 degrees and went a 6.50. both at 111. NOT UP TO PAR!! lolol

Density altitude was 5900 ft at 9.00 pm. Friday night:doh3: I know what you mean, I bought some new shocks and couldnt get it figured out either untill saturday. Mine is out in left field right now, so I completly understand. And its Hot and I am tired of wrenching. Sometimes I hope I will wake up and it will all be a bad dream...lol But when I get this new combination figured out, I will be happy. Untill winter anyway..lol.

Like Jim said the DA is killer lately. I dont even bother running mine in this weather, good nitrous weather, bad FI weather ;)

I dont know if I'd bail out on it just yet, if you sell everything it will cost you twice as much to do it over again to make the same power. Put a wideband in the car and spend some time with it when it cools off out. Nothing more frustrating then messing with a hot car at a dragstrip when its 95+ degrees out.

The way the weather is if my car fell off a cliff I wouldnt care right now, but once the weather gets better it will change so hang in there.

Not as much as a non intercooled or A2A blower/turbo car ;)

In hot weather nitrous works pretty decent, nice high bottle pressure and thats stuff is cold coming out of the nozzles. But 5600' DA hurts just about anything lol.

With the addition of the cooler and a good fall night, I dont see 5s to be a problem. Good luck!
