Good looking car, but what an awful interior color. my first one was that color, i changed it all to grey. Good luck with the sale, but i paid less than that for my 91 turbo.

Agreed on the interior color, but it's better than blue lol. As for the price, I paid less for my 92 Turbo as well, but it had 3 times the mileage and was barely running at the time. I think it's a fair price based on KBB and AutoTrader, as well as what I've seen MK3's go for. Especially considering the mileage and condition of the car-you really have to see it in person. It's negotiable though-I need to move this car.

Nice car and easily worth $3000+ assuming it doesn't have a Rodnock or BHG  I keed. Kinda wish I had the money, then again, I don't need to add anymore to the collection. Kinda wondering though, has it been painted, I can't tell, but the front nose emblem is removed? Hardtop, meh, I'll stick with my Targa cars. :) Gl with the sale though!

SexyLexy

No BHG. If I were to keep the car, I'd replace the entire exhaust system; the muffler's shot, so it makes a good bit of noise. And yes, parts of the car have been painted. It was a little banged up when I got it-I bought the car as a project. I actually have a brand new emblem; the other one flew off the first time I drove it after getting it insured haha. I think I've seen you on Chapman Hwy. once. Nice car, from what I could see and hear haha.

Not sure if you saw me, then again how many RSP MK3 Supras are there around here, only mine AFAIK. I was kidding about the BHG as it's a common thing on MK3's alot of us guys joke about it. I come down to Knox occassionally, usually because my sister(who lives on Chapman HWY) So it is very possible you saw me, and if you saw me, you definitely heard the car, it's insane loud. Thanks for the compliment though, like I said, Good luck with the sale, I have a few stock exhausts someone can have if they want to come pick it up if they buy your car. BTW, is that a 91+ Teal Metallic MK3 beside the 89 in one of those pics?

BP: I like your new sig pic!

It had to have been you because the insanely loud exhaust is what made me look haha. And trust me, I'm well aware of the HG issue-I have it to thank for the fact that I could afford my car-the teal metallic on shadow gray 92 Turbo, targa, 5 speed you spoke of. Purdy rare eh?

Ah, So I was correct, Teal Metallic, Turbo, Targa, 5spd, Damn, yep, pretty rare, except the white door handle :-p Beautiful car from what I can see, anymore pictures of it? Pm me with them if youd rather not post in here. (assuming you have them) Yes, the car is insanely loud, atleast thats what I'm told, I'm used to it so I don't really know if it sounds good, or like complete butt, oh well. I figured you were aware of the BHG issues, you seem well spoken and very knowledgeable with the Supras/community :-p

stock for stock, it'd be pretty close, assuming youre talking about a turbo car. you'd probably pull it off the line, and then run even from there.

my stock v8 runs door to door with my best friends stock GT.

A friend of mine who had a NA MKIII raced me when I first got the Camaro. It wasn't pretty. He also had a got beat by my girlfriend in her 1998 V6 Camaro. Don't know about the turbo cars, however.

SexyLexy
08-19-2007, 05:26 PM
An NA MK3, yes. It's honestly a solid, reliable, heavy, fun car, but it's no faster than your average V6 family sedan/pickup. In fact I was out driving it the other night and a young kid in a Ranger with an exhaust was showing his ass and the most I could do was keep pace with him. But, just as that shows, it does attract attention (especially since the muffler's shot) so if your kid's a showoff, you might have to have a talking to with him/her about it.

Well, ive always seen that stock MK4 supras run ever so slightly faster than a stock 99+ GT in the 1/4.

I didnt think a MKIII would be on par with that, but again ive never seen one run.

BolognaPony

In fact, here are some numbers.

2001 Mustang GT 5m
Curb Weight 3273
HP 260
TQ 302

1998 Toyota Supra Turbo 6m
Curb Weight 3505
HP 320
TQ 315

1992 Toyota Supra Turbo 5m
Curb Weight 3535
HP 232
TQ 254

Looks to me a MK4 should pull a stock GT PI mustang a little bit but the GT would make fairly short work of a stock mK3. :why:

Sexylexy, is yours still pretty stock? I know my car isnt but id still like to see how it holds up to one.

PizzaGuy
08-20-2007, 12:36 PM
i said youd beat it, but you wouldnt leave it sitting. and numbers are great, but as i also said, ive lined them up, and the gt wins. it also depends a lot on the driver.

its rated at 260, plus minimal gains from intake and exhaust.

Was your friends GT a 5 speed or auto?

Is it completely stock?

What is the rear gear ratio for a MKIII ?

PizzaGuy
08-20-2007, 04:28 PM
5 spd with a k&n and an x-pipe. i dont remember the rear ratio off hand. i 'think' its somewhere around 4.11

SexyLexy
08-20-2007, 04:58 PM

89-92 Turbo is 3.73

87-88 Turbo 5speed=3.93
89-92 Turbo 5speed=3.73
all n/a 5speeds are either 4.10 or 4.30 depending on sport package/non sp

Yes, Adam, your car is INSANELY loud....

...Just to clear that up. I had some Indian guy come into Advance auto (where I work) asking if I'd take four thousand for mine. I laughed at him.

Of course, my car has a few bolt-ons that might raise the price a bit :-)
