Ok I know some of you are very familiar with heads so what does a 2e12 come from? One of the guy's that work for me had issues so we pulled his head off of his 95Gt and that is the casting on it.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.if it is a 5.0 it was cast on 12 May 1992...if they are still using that date method for the actual casting not the casting design like E7TE which is some sort of Engineering ID...I think..LOL

These are really kinda odd because inside the ports are small humps in the middle. I have never really paid much attention to cast iron factory heads but since this one had odd damage to it I looked it over fairly well.

I am gonna go see what other numbers I can find.

Those humps are the smog passages the F77E or commonly called gt40p's have them in the exhaust ports

2e12 Thats weird using my trusty fox body book it did not come from anything from 79-97. Your gonna have to find a cross referance online.

2e12 sounds like a newer # the first digit in the part # usually goes by decade. EXAMPLE
C9ZZ-60's era
D9ZZ-70's
E9ZZ-80's
F9ZZ-90's
and after 2000 ford startedusing numbers as the first digit EXAMPLE
4W7Z or 4W3A

thats way I say it's weird to see a number as the first digit for a pushrod motor

Ah do me a favor and ask him if he still has the title to the car I bought from him a while back.

Let me go get a picture of what we found stuck in one of the valves. I will post it up in a few.

FOUND IT!
They should be 70's 351- 2 barrel carb heads with 2e12 and other casting# next to it like D2 AE CA
2V heads had a #2 stamped and 4v heads had a #4 stamped on them.

the line of the valves will tell you if it is from a 351-W the valves are inline or the 351-C the valves are canted so which is it

Ha Ha I thought he was referring to Shawn.

After the week I have had I am surprised I didn't say something much dumber than that.

Check this out. I think this was the after market temp sensor that someone broke off or somehow pushed way too far in the intake. Anyway the copper line was laying on the intake and we weren't sure where it went until we saw it stuck in the valve.

Someone dumber than me. :)

Well they are on a SN-95 EFI car that has some issues but it ran pretty good before this mishap.

why would someone have a thermo coupler in a intake port???meth???

This engine was put together about the worst that I have ever seen from the wiring to the torque specs. He bought it and drove it for maybe a week or so before this came apart on him so were really not sure what else could be screwed up.

Ya what the hell are people thinkin with these hack jobs?

looks like they painted the heads with the headers on too.

I believe those are 1970's 351-W 2V heads need the rest of the casting #'s to find what car they came from.

Are we sure this is an origenal v8 car or is it a converted v6?

I didn't even check to be honest but I am almost positive that the title said Gt on it.

Just had to make me feel like a dumbazz huh?

Trust me man I reread what I type on here 3-4x way before hitting that little submit button. After the month we have had I am just happy to be sitting here with a smile. Even my brain feels like a scrambled egg. Dealing with the public 5 days a week really sux sometimes.
