Tellico Closures

I'm sure a lot of you are aware of the danger that Tellico is in with the result of the law suit against the FS by Trouts Unlimited. This is some info i got off another board, this is totally hear say, but this guy acts like he's pretty in the know.

Here is the low down on Tellico (USFS) vs Trout Unimited. There is going to be a litigation meeting on Friday at 9:00am at some community center (I think its Browntown) in Murfey and the USFS is go to give up trail 2 and 7 to try to keep this mess from going to trial. So therefore if Trout Unlimited doesnt accept this the entire ORV will be closed for "further study". Which means that if 2 and 7 are not taken by T.U. we will not be able to ride there in the near future. Crawford said that PROBABLY 2 and 7 will be closed within a business week. Guarenteed to be closed by Labor Day for 2 and 7. So I guess we can say bye bye to Lower 2 and Peckerwood

ya i was there july 15-22 peckerwood is getting pretty bad. but rock graden didn't look that bad to me. but yet again the stuff getting in the water. peckerwood is beside a creek. anyway it wont be the same with the trails opened. plus 2 and 7 are the shortest trails

anyone that has been there right on the Tn/Nc line back towards TN used to have some trails. ive heard a few months ago they might open then back up but not sure.
