I have been drag racing, off and on, for the past 50 years! Only time away from racing was from 1969 til 1979 when I was busy raising my family in other parts of the country! I am 66 years old, have a 1971 RS Camaro that is a full time bracket car running low 10's at 130 mph+. My home tracks are Firebird International Raceway and Southwestern International Raceway (SIR-Tucson). I have been sidelined for the past three months from racing as the result of surgery to remove 18" of intestines and 4" of colon. They took that and my appendix plus 66 years worth of energy and said recovery would take a minimum of 3 months and it appears they were pretty close to being correct as I can now lift something more than 10 lbs.! I may be a "newbie" on here but am an "oldie" Arizonan, proud to be a native and son of a pioneer cattle ranching family in southeastern Arizona.http://myspace.com/guypriceracing

He wouldn't stop in Arizona, too hot for him! Just gonna be 97 tomorrow they say as the remnants of Dean are supposed to be comin' in! We could use a touch of rain to spot up all the clean cars in town! One of those 12" rains, 12" between the drops on a dusty car makes them look like they are camalflauged! Big drag wants to know what Mike looks like in a dress?:stereo: :dayum: Gettin' close to gettin' my gut back in order. If it wasn't so much like work I might think about runnin' around the block but just thinkin' about it tires me out. Havin' some trouble with my joints yet! (Guess I should stay out of 'em, huh?) Seems like arthritis and I'll hopefully get an answer Monday afternoon when I go see my family doctor. Won't be long before I'm back behind the wheel. Now if I could just hit the lottery tomorrow night (Powerball @ $300,000,000!) I could race for the rest of my life as long as I didn't go broke first! I'm workin' on my second million now, it was too tough to get the first one so I quit tryin'!:dayum: Don't know how to work everything on this site yet but reckon I will figure it out eventually! Good see'n ya!:closed:

Guy you will get it figured out, and I already bought the ticket, but incase they messed up and gave me yours and you get mine. Then you could just split the 300m with me, I would be willing to do that since you were nice enough to hold it for me.

lol..
How is the "HIRED GUN" in your car doing? Or is the gun driving the nova??

I sold the Hired Gun Nova about a month ago for $12,500 including the open trailer to a fella in San Diego. He was supposed to have taken it out last night for the first time but I haven't heard if he did or not. He was gonna run it at the 1/8th mile track at Barona. Still was a very consistent car and did not have many runs on it since we freshened it last in 2005. My daughter has been driving my car while we are making some changes in hers--now has a 427 small block (World Products block) with Dart CNC aluminum heads, J&E flat top pistons, Eagle rods, Scat crank, Comp roller cam and lot of new stuff to add yet including the throttle stop, Mega 450 delay box and Painless Wiring harness. She has driven my car before and done well running Super Street in it, getting down to 8 cars at the CSK Nationals here in February.
She has always been a footbraker and after she ran my car on the .500 Pro tree, she decided she like the transbrake and delay box so I am setting her car up to operate just like my 401 small block. She had never ran my car on a .500 three amber tree or used Crosstalk before so told her to run just like she did when running Super Street, see the first amber, let go the button and car will do the rest. I continued to interpret the Crew-Chief Pro weather information and dialed the car for her. Told her to run it out and don't worry about breaking out. The first three rounds she ran her number, once with a 3, once with a 0, once with a 7 so I guess we made a pretty good team. The fourth round she accidently hit the transbrake button when pre-staged and knew it had to recycle before going on it but did not realize it had also shifted into high gear (air shifter) and brake don't work in high gear so she red-lit! Think she will do real well if she qualifies to run at the ET Finals. I plan on sitting out for another month or so and then I will get back in my car and hopefully we will have her's ready for her!:gbuds: :knight:

Guy...
Welcome aboard! Dont you still run THE BLUE THONG ESCORT SERVICE outta Dennys? I know why you wanted to go eat there that one night now. You had to collect some money from one of your escorts and instead of hiding the bucks in his/her bra she had it stuffed in the thong! Well ole Big Drag will never see me in a thong or a dress! I tried to mail him last night and his e-mail came back. Maybe you can post his e-mail on here! I am sure I sent it to the right one.... So now that you are retired and only have the Escort service do we call you MR. or MADAM?????

You can call me anything except don't call me late for supper! Especially if it is at Los Dos Molinos! Hottest mescan food this side of hell! Guess all that sweatin' is what keeps me from gainin' too much weight! Maybe that's why folks look at me funny when I walk outa there! Not sure if it gas or sweat smell! I'll pass the word on to big drag!:dump:

LOL.... Speaking of THONGS. Went over to 2901 E. Thomas Rd. last night to a place I worked as a young man and saw plenty of THONGS. I saw em on all types of shapes! But none on any men in the bathroom!!! The cool thing about it is that I ran into a few old friends. One was a person I worked the door with. The other was the boss's old girlfriend and the other was a bartender that is now the owner of the joint! We had a great time talking about the fun times we had.

BARONA!!! After the way they did CHUCKO after the sale of the track they will not get any money of mine anylonger nor will I help promote the track like I did with Tony. Tony was not truthful about what was going to happen after the sale anyway! Your buddy that wanted to buy you lunch that time I heard is involved with what Chucko was doing. I also hear that car count on a regular weekend is down somewhat. I knew I shoulda bought out Tony!!! I wish them the best.....

Well, they didn't take my memory when they removed my intestines some 3 months ago! I still remembered to stage the car with the front wheels, not the rears and my first light after about a 4 month hyaitis was a .023. Second time run was .008! Not bad for a 66 year old that can' seem to win a race! Second round last night I go .006 on the tree, dial a 10.39, catch the other racer who see is "dumping" so I dump too and let him take a .0044 stripe! Get back to the trailer, input my run information in Crew-Chief Pro and have it project the run had I stayed in it. The prediction: 10.396! One of these days I am gonna have start practicing what I preach to my daughter who ran my car while I was recovering from surgery: "Don't dump, push 'em out!" It seems the car and Crew-Chief Pro are "married" because what Crew-Chief Pro predicts, the car does! I now have some time to massage my brain and will add another quote to the back of my scoop: "Don't dump!" The quote on their presently says: "Wake up!" And that I have done!

Come on Guy....its time for the leader of the CLAN to put a BIG W on the board. Glad you are back in the car and feel comfortable with it. Just remember the nite you beat Roger Comstock in Vegas? That was the nite Jack Beckman thought he could pull something over on us. Lane Choice who cares? Cut a lite and run the number and send the BOSS and the now DRIVER of his Nitro Funny Car a packin! That was a good nite.....I will check on the parts you need in the am....
