bad luck

well i had a good grudge race last week at e-town and had some bad luck. after arguing about money and all of the other bullshit that comes with grudge racing we finaly agreed on a race.

Stage lights are on i see amber and bam i tree the shit out of him, pull a half a car, then hit the second kit and pull again on him even further, shift light comes on i hit the shifter and boom........ i broke my input shaft :( ohwell...

got a new one on the way so maybe I will get my rematch....

What type shaft were you using? Stock or hardened? Turbo or PG spline? Just curious because some of the guys up our way have been breaking shafts too. I have built a lot of glides with no shaft failures, A couple gear sets and a couple stock cases but no input shafts.

Yeah I had him good I think.. Its hard to tell when you hear a few diff stories. but from what I could tell I had him by a car and a half... He was being such an ass too....

I was using a turbo shaft. I went with a custom shaft this time. it has no o rings, but you dont have to buy the custom pump for this one. you have to so some mods to the return line, and the pump , but other than that is good. its made from TOOL STEEL. handles up to about 2500 hp so I should be good by a long way. They have not had one break yet, just a few that were twisted...
