what exactly on his setup has he supposedly changed? i think the only difference since you two ran was yesterday he just either used the "cheat street" pill or just removed it completely both of which should be ok in your race just add more boost;)

Yes I could just add more boost but then I would be cheating to try and get the upper hand or an advantage. Plus I do not want to have to retune it with increased boost pressure. Besides I am at the limits of things as it stands and it's just a street car that I have fun in. When I go to the dragstrip I am just screwing around and having fun! Hey Granny, that rear axle housing we talked about Sunday measures 58 1/4" wms to wms. Add 1/2" for disc brakes. It has a small pinion offset to the right of @ 2". Hope this helps.

Well, if you want all the secrets out then yes, The exhaust is routed through the rear axle which heats the ring and pinion and keeps the lash on the gears tight. Those jets that I inadvertandtly dropped down the carb was not my fault. Buy some jets that are made out of steel next time so I can fish'em out with a magnet.

Big blocks my be boat anchors, but at least you can get them cheap. Scott's '70 model 429 w/ big intake, big cam...super-cheap 450 hp...just add a little spray:D ...and they'll rev like a small-block with some big pills:D
