Yeah Carp is a great guy. I've know him a long time. Heck most of the racers are. I've seen so many help each other through the years. The sportsmanship is one of the best things about it. Now don't get me wrong you do have that occasional asshole like me.... lol.....

They said they would take care of it. But its not in my hands yet.
I wont sleep till mr. UPS stops by the shop to deliver it. It was sad that I could only go 6.16 @ 114 on motor when I know its got so much more but it still was fun running it n/a. It took a couple of passes to get the fuel injection figured out its not designed to be used n/a. LEAVES LIKE A PIG.
and feels like its towing a ton of bricks. lol....

didnt you guys have one in a few weeks back 7.0???? We took care of the problem before first round, but I was under the impression you all had one in the car a few races ago as well. I feel it was a honest over site as most would not benefit from a box in 7.00 since its a .4 tenths tree and most are too slow on it and not too fast.

THEY ARE IN OUR CAR WHEN BRACKETT RACING not heads up and yes some are to quick for the pro tree why else would you be putting numbers in to keep from red lighting you made us take it out of the car the first one you held and we know not to have it in at bounty races so we dont. and no we did not have one a few weeks back unless it was a brackett race you even made your brother pull his the same nite we had to . we never heard a rule change so we have not had one in the car on bounty nites you would be surprised how many was using them a couple went out first round and it was not because of the 00 lite they had either but either way you choose to run it we will support it. but no one allows them and everyone knows it if they have ever run any big races.

we have four of them on some nites but dont need one on your nite feel free to check any time thats why we roll in a little deeper to get a lite a box sure as hell would not help us lol and for ones using them when unhooked will red lite worse you proved that to us when hooked up straight you will be about .20 better on tree and one more thing we have been to every one you have held so how about maybe a points system next season in index classes so much to enter points and something to race for all year at the end we will have 3 or 4 cars in 7.0 next year

There is no rule at Brainerd saying no delay boxes. The only rules are that it has to be a door car, and no throttle stops. It's been like that every race this year.

this is my final post on this. whatever jim jr decides to do next year about he rules is his decision, but iwill be at every race and abide by the rules just like i have in the past.

I was just trying to defend who you were talking about because I'm sure they didnt know you couldnt run a delay box at Crossville because I never had Jim tell me or saw it in the rules. Either way its no big deal to run them or not, just make a rule and make sure everyone knows the rule for next year and it's solved. :D

Electrical
Optical sensors, and electrical or pneumatic throttle stops are not allowed. Progressive nitrous controllers and/or nitrous timers are not allowed. MSD 7al systems must have slew rate, timer and switches must be turned off. If you have these on the vehicle for other classes of racing, they must be visibly disabled (unplugged). These boxes will be teched at anytime during qualifying and eliminations. Immediate disqualification and loss of points will be rendered if tech determines use of these functions.

They actually don't say delay boxes either cause I have seen some cars run with them in it with ORSCA. To cover all basis you need to list everything in the rules so there is no confusion.

maybe jim, but we didnt have one (at the time) and its hard to beat a .02 lite every pass!! i think the one who was said to of had to unhook his went red his first pass so id say advantage BOX. BUT IF THEY ARE ALLOWED THEN WILL USE IT if not one one will. i guess we can all agree on this hum lol!either way we need a understanding so we all know the rules.

I understand where your coming from rapid, but unless you can go 380 red on a .4 tenths pro tree you would have no reason to have one. VERY VERY FEW if any 7.00 cars will need one. A properly set up car is all that is needed, and I guess my point is this.
If a guy has one and needs one, then he has the knowledge and the car to win without one as well.
I do not see that it is an advantage, but I have said before this is the racers race, and I will get with as many in the class and others before we make the rules up for 2008.
I am trying to put this into words so that I dont come off wrong, but here is another way to look at it.
If you have the $$ for a pro tree brake and a car that is gonna go red on the pro tree, and do it consistantly with out anticipating it, you will also then have the money to buy an adjustable switch or the knowledge to use a relay in the line to slow the react down enough.
The box wont make them faster on the tree, and thats what MOST in the class need, is to react quicker not slow down.
And I dont know who went red if anyone but I would have to say that it could have been prevented with tire psi, or some tunning..
