What a killer piece. More about what we were talking about last week, Ford is stepping up... GM needs to get on the ball...

if gm built something like that it would cost 10 times what a ford does! gm overpriced the fbodies out of production and put a shit rear in it to boot.they are dead on with the lsx series engines but what can you afford that has one in it?

I agree but I doubt many will afford one of these either..lol
Doubt the mustangs will have one in the future..lol.. But it will open the door for PROSTOCK teams in the future to run the new FORD HEMI.. The technology was antiquated so they stopped using them and the promod guys stopped along with TOP FUEL because the blocks would not handle the power.. I am impressed.

Definately impressive. But these two didnt reinvent the HEMI HEAD engine! I'd say the good ole Ramcharger guys laid the ground work. Dont get me wrong the ole elephant was long past its prime. I dont really see why they call this a FORD engine. A true HEMI is all the same no matter what name you stick on it. Be interesting to see what the longevity is under race day conditions. Hope they do well with it. I doubt you will ever see a fuel injection version of one of these like back in the 429 Shotgum motor days for sale in a road application vehicle. Would be cool though. They have had to been workin on this thing for a while...a long while! Medlin is a sharp man when it comes to being innovative.

They are saying the new Camaro will be more price competitive. Hopefully it will debut with at least an Ls3, and maybe after the Corvette gets a blower it will trickle on down to the F-body platform. I think GM realized they screwed up and now that they are getting their health care issues resolved they'll be able to sell cheaper.
