Are there some good spots in SP to race? Nothing around here but some unmodded FWD's and lots of rice....

so far the 3 spots where everyone goes to gets busted pretty quick as thats what happend saturday night...3 races and the cops showed up. i know of a couple good spots but there just a little distance away and i garentee no cops will show but i will not show these spots until something really big shows up...

15 second civics are bigGGGGggg!!!!!!!!

but seriously, team ducktape, there are some good spots around here to race, they dont usually get busted unless theres like 30 cars out there like last night. Come to point sometime it'd be cool to have someone new come hang out, caseman and frank would like having more dsms in town I bet.

What kindof goodies do Frank and Caseman have on their cars?

SilVip1jzgte
03-16-2003, 09:57 PM
there was no where near 30 cars out sat. night as there were only 12 cars out...and only 3 races, which was the same 2 people. 00EVAN likes to say a bunch of crap..just a cocky guy. my car ran a 14.2 all motor and won its class (14.0 to 14.5 bracket) and that was with its previous owner.
i dont have anything big planned yet, but if me and my crew from madison here hear of any big races we'll set something up

SilVip1jzgte

from what ive been hearing frank has an "11 sec" DSM and Caseman really has nothing special..not to sound like a dick or anything.

00Evan
03-16-2003, 10:29 PM
you are a dick, shut the fuck up and stop making shit up to people who dont know any better. You are an asshole plain and simple. If your car runs a 14.2 then my car must be in the 13s, ha BS. Stupid fuck, go away, you dont live in central wisconsin. Go roll with pablo and your madison crew you fucking skinny ass rice boy. Who the fuck sells a supra for a 15 second civic!? no wonder you have to make it sound fast. I bet pablo talked you into getting the Euro B18 motor eh? And the nitrous which never seems to be hooked up. Yeah go fucking race pablo you flamer.

Casey has a slightly moded Talon Tsi. It's pretty quick, good for low 15s, high 14s. Casey also might be buying a AWD Tsi. Frank has a highly moded Talon Tsi AWD which should run 11s. It hasnt been to the track yet but that is the guestimate based off of G-tec times and the times he has raced it.

Don't listen to marcus, no one around here likes him he just lurks our forums like a little troll.

Why the hell did you two guys just ruin my post? All I asked was a simple question.... Not to be a dick but if you and your friends are using a gtec to establish times that's pretty sad. And to brag about a 14sec car is REALLY sad. So back to the first question, asked diffrently- So what turbo is this supposed 11sec. Talon running? Other mods?

I was trying to answer your question but got flamed by marcus.
As far as the turbo goes, I am not sure. I'm not really sure on franks specific mods, you'd have to ask caseman, he knows. I do know that the car is very very quick however.

Frank from what ive known before is running the 16g upgrade along with nitrous. i can too admit the car being quick but its very hard to break the 12's let alone the 13's, and thats even coming from the books of past pro racers. and for your info im not bragging about a 14.2 sec. car, just mearly informing people who think different. it has the timeslip along with the trophy to proove it won in its class with that time....it also ran 13.5 with the nitrous but im selling the nitrous as its pretty cheap HP.
like 00EVAN said, you'd have to ask caseman about the other mods as he is pretty good friends with frank

I dont know franks mods ;)

But if you would like you can come here and im sure he would race you??

Team Ducktape

So when did I ask to race? Just intrested in the car not the person as so many of you are. Not to be cocky but I think my Galant would do just fine against a 16g, let alone any Talon from WI. Some more pics here;

Wow your hardcore

what does it run?

Team Ducktape
03-17-2003, 10:46 PM
Well the Galant has yet to see the track. Just finished it then I needed to fix the head gasket (x2). The Talon saw 11.2's the last time it was at the track- a car that actually needs a cage hehe. But I have yet to run it in WI. I have a Galant body I will be finishing to run this year. Probably same turbo I have on my other Galant, Haltech, ect, but no interior... Have no idea what it should run ;)

When is a cage a must? What times?

00Evan
03-18-2003, 01:11 PM
You need a cage if you run that fast. Its track rules.

Team Ducktape
03-18-2003, 01:11 PM
11.99 in the 1/4 you need a cage, on most tracks. A few tracks will require them at 12.99 in the 1/4.

i kind of have a dsm! I know I'm bringing this thread back from the dead but I've got a 3000GT...kind of like the DSM bigger brother (and heavier might I add) ;-) Yeah, overall I think Frank's car is very fast, fun to watch....I'd like to think that by the end of the summer he and I could have a great and exciting race.

No you don't have a DSM ;), The main-stay of the DSM's is A joint effort by Mitsubishi (three diamonds) and the Chrysler Corporation (penta-star) to build some of the most incredible automobiles in the world. The vehicles were produced with the names Eagle Talon, Mitsubishi Eclipse, and Plymouth Laser. DSM cars are assembled in Normal, Illinois. The '94-and-up Mitsubishi Galant is also assembled at the DSM plant in IL; previous Galant's were assembled in Japan. The Eclipse and Galant (since '89) share the same platform....

yeah yeah, i know that, just thought I'd throw in my info :)

to build some of the most incredible automobiles in the world.

And I'm sorry, I'll probably get flamed for this one, but come on. I like DSMs, hell, I'd buy one and make it fast in an instant. They're fun cars with an incredible aftermarket support. BBBBUUUTTT....."some of the most incredibly automobiles in the world"??? I don't know about that. I don't think you can build some of the most incredible automobiles in the world for that price. They're a steal for the money and great cars.

Also, if anyone is interested in running a log on their car, let me know and check the other thread in this forum about the heads up to DSM guys in Point.

I thought you knew more about DSM's, my bad. ;) Most know this was quoted from a popular and very informative "DSM" site. http://1000q.dsm.org/ under the ...names or terminology
Dude BTW notice the ;), my post was a joke- but informative.

cool man, no problems at all. I respect anyone who will stand by their platform....I know I do.

I also appreciate the info, I love learning about what the other guys drive. If you ever want to know about the 3/S let me know, and I'll send my DSM questions your way.
