K20 into eg hatch, pic and vids

I saw this over on honda tech and thought it was pretty sweet. i know there arent many honda fans on here but im sure some people will appreciate it.

mods: custom intake, 4-1 header, 3 inch exhaust, toda cams, modded B-16 50mm Twm itb's.

The car makes 236 hp and 162 lb./ft torque.

I will never understand why kids build N/A powered Hondas. You could have made the same power with a Jackson on a B18 and probably had a nicer, meatier power curve to boot. Oh yeah, you would also have a buch of left over cash too.

I don't know why you would build a N/A anything personaly If you want it to be fast. I am addictied to some sort of forced induction. Hell N20 is the coolest thing i have ever seen. I am going to put in on every thing i own with a motor (wifes jeep, lawnmower, weedeater, jet ski etc... :) ). Save your money and do a very comprehensive nitrous set up for half of a turbo/supercharger and it will still drive like stock when you are not going fast..

Hm. I wonder what they edited out of the engine bay? Weird.

Also, from what I've gathered people build N/A Hondas to be "different." Which, coincidentally, is the same reason given for most other odd paths of modification. Everyone is so busy trying to be different they forgot to be fast. :)

ehh, I think there's something to be said for building a N/A motor. Once you've spent enough to have gone with forced induction thoguh, you'll end up kicking yourself. lol, I feel kinda stupid myself for not going that route from day one. Now I'm like in limbo, further into a "quick" all motor car, or go for a "fast" car... either way it won't compare to built v8's lol


BTW, I love the sound of honda engines lol maybe it's a generation thing, I'd rather have an 8 with a low rumble and lopey cam, but still, liek the smooth high revvin sound.

I believe there is a kit to put the K20a from an RSX-s into a Honda Hatchback and they are quite fast even though they are still front wheel drive. The K20a is a stronger platform in my opinion than any of the other current Honda hatch motor swaps. With Nitrous or some sort of forced induciton, a K20a hatch will beat the snot out of most any thing on the road if driven correctly.

Thats what im saying, the k series motors are the future. For some reason my new username got deleted? I had this one changed to 02type-s about a year ago. I also lost about 500 posts :confused:
