I think justice was served. The sooner the people in this country start standing up for themselves the sooner this place will get better. Texas has a real good gun law in place. I think the guy will get off with a JURY of his peers.
Alot of people fail to realize that the a defendant only needs to convice one JUROR he was right, and the DA must convince all JURORS he was wrong.
Sounds like they should have stopped when he told them not to move...

Yeah i have been doing a bit of research on it. After reading a little more into it i hope he walks or gets a slap on the wrist at most. Apparently on september 1st texas passed something called the Castle Law.. Its huge and way to much to have somebody read but it's basicaly just giving a home owner more rights. The republican governer says that the law wasn't passed for things like this(he was making a comment about this particular case), However the law is a little vague and says if you fill threatened in or at your home you have the rite to protect yourself. It goes into protecting yourself and neighbors(only at nite time though).. Several of his neighbors have came out and talked about how good he is with the neighborhood as far as helping people and keeping a eye out on things. Anyways the poll's in his town have it basically at 2-1 in his favor with people saying he was in the right. They havn't put him in jail or charged him they are leaving it up to a grand jury. So at the 2-1 thing hopefully 8 of the 12 move to aquit and he gets off.
