alright i get asked this all the time, so i figured id make a post to try and show the differences. My camera sucks and so do my photog skills. i will try and show the difference between stock halogen, ebay hid and good quality hid kits.

these are all taken same car, same place in the driveway. first is stock halogen. second pic is ebay hid, last is a good hid kit.

Good HID's

As you can see both sets of hids are equally as bright, much brighter than the halogen. the ebay ones are a big ball of unfocused light. this blinds other drivers, and really pisses off cops. the light is diffused, and does not go very far at all. the good hids have a nice tight beam, the cut off is exactly the same as stock, focal point same as stock ad they penetrate much deeper into the darkness without blinding on coming traffic.

The couple of bucks you will save on ebay you will end up spending on tickets, or having to remove them because you constantly get messed with by the cops or are tired of people flashing you.

I sell the GOOD HID'S for 150$, any color.

the only way your going to get that cut off in the second set of pics w/hids is by having retro fitted projectors in a halogen head light. i have never seen a car's head light's look like that in the first set of picture's w/hid's.

good to know you are an expert... the second set is by no means projectors. you are more than welcome to come over and take a look if you are in the phoenix area. this is my girls car and she drives it everywhere. 9007 has the anti glare thing in front of the bulb as well as on the bulb itself. its about 7 feet from headlights to the garage door.

i have never seen a car look like the first picture either, until i put the kit in there. i was amazed, or rather horrified. so i took a picture. once again its the same car, same headlight. the bulb was not properly installed in the base obviously.. if the distance of the filament in respect to the reflector is not correct that is what you get. light that is not focused.

i dont claim to be a expert. i have had 3 sets of ebay hid's and none of them looked like the picture you posted for the ebay kit. i did not know the kit made a difference when it came to cut off line. i have a civic and mine dont look like either of the pics you posted. how do i get the cut off line with out doing a retro fit?

the cut off is a by product of the quality of the reflector and the position of filament in the bulb. the difference on mine was the first set of bulbs was total crap and the tube did not extend far enough into the housing to make the light focus. the second set looks exactly like stock. lancer has a 9007 housing which has several anti glare features that im not sure the hondas have. also the condition of your reflector might have alot to do with it. next time i retro an h4 based car ill take a picture of the cutoff and see how they compare.

also like i said the garage door is not very far away... maybe that has something to do with it?
