I need some input on putting a turbo on a busa. Is it streetable and does the engine run hot from lack of air ?

they are very streetable...I know guys with 500+ hp drivers all day long....a stage one kit would be a good start...consult Velocity Racing or RCC turbos...if you are rollin it contact Seb at NLR...top notch shit!!!

they are pretty reliable, however if you do not want to mess with fmu shim changing, step up to a secondary injector set-up from the start and a spacer to lower compression.

yeah secondaries are the way to go over the FMU BUT the FMU will get it done after a shim change if you keep the boost below 8-10lbs..

Thanks for the info. What about Getto turbo system? Stedman motorsports sell it $3100.00 its a stage 1 or would you prefer:nitrous:
JP has a stage 1 Velocity Racing package on his Busa. Performs excellent and is totally streetable.
I have a Velocity Racing stage 3 race kit on my bike and it maintains the same street manners with more HP on tap than you could ever use on the street.

GHETTO KITS ARE MADE BY RCC :)
BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK, TURBO IS LOCATED HIGHER ON AN RCC KIT THAN ON A VELOCITY KIT, LESS CHANCE OF OIL SMOKE.

What do you mean by oil smoke?
What do you mean by oil smoke?
Some turbo kits had a longer header design that in some cases could place the turbo oil feed below the oil level in the pan letting oil seep into the turbo when the bike was still.................particularly if the front end was lowered or if the bike was on a rear stand. They would smoke on start up as the oil was burned.I think all of the companies recognized this and corrected. I even run my bike to the highest mark on the oil glass and no issues at all. Is a good point to mention though in case you were looking into an old /early design used kit.
