called them last night LATE and got their answering machine which stated they were open from 11am until dark, it would cost $10 to spectate and $20 to Test and Tune. To which I understand the price of everything is going up and being in the winter I have no problem paying $20 to run. I have been going there and running for $10 since 1996 which is a BARGAIN!!!! Everytime I have been there except maybe 2 times in all of these years the track has been on DEAD HOOK including today. After driving 125 miles over there I pull up to pay to run, I hand the lady a $20 dollar bill she then says I owe here $10 more... I asked why she stated it was $10 to get in or $20 to test and tune but in order to come in to drive my car in the test and tune I owe $30. I KNOW it's only $10 BUT if it was stated everyone pays $10 to get in then and additional $20 to Test and Tune I might have reconsidered going all the way over there. Just thought I would share this with everyone before you get a suprise like myself and SEVERAL others did. The lady at the gate even told one gentleman(that had drove over 90 miles) he would have to go to an ATM because he only brought $26 cash with him. Several people in the pits said they had called they too understood it to be $20 to Test and Tune so it wasn't just me.

Steele dead hooking??? That is funny

The secret to "Dead Hooking" for me is having a very low Horsepower car, which I take these low horsepower cars to several tracks and Steele hooks my cars better than any around the Southeast. This car that I carried that sunday cut a 1.58 60'ft on 275/40/17 M/T Et Street Drag radials which I thought was pretty good for such a low HP car but maybe my car just works...???.. LOL.. For the record I have not had this specific car at any other tracks yet but will when weather breaks.
