List of 100% Gas Stations (No Ethanol)

I don't post around here often but I was wondering if we could try to put together a list of all the 100% pure gas filling stations in and around Knoxville. I have a problem with the post cat O2 sensor in my Wrangler when using blended gas and recently I have began having problems with my weedeater as well. I just read this article (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25936782/) talking about issues with Ethanol and would like to have a comprehensive list of stations that do not use it so I would have some options in mind no matter where I might need to fill up.

The only 2 stations I know of for sure advertising 100% pure gas are the Citgo and Exxon stations near the duck pond in Fountain City, around the area of the old Target and Litton's restaurant.

Shell on Tazwell Pike, close to the 4-way in Gibbs.

Shell on Washington Pike, close to Mill Rd.

Those are the only ones I know of off the top of my head.

I want to say Roadside Market in Strawberry Plains is 100% gas. At least they used to advertise it. I also believe the Marathon on Asheville highway near Comcast is/was 100% a few weeks back, and also check out Raceway on Asheville highway I believe. I'll try to verify a few of these on the way home today.

Where is this located? If it's on the left east of town heading toward Walland it's not pure anymore. I topped off there on Friday before the dragon and it was 10%. I'm not familiar w/ Maryville much though, so perhaps this is a different location than you mentioned.

The Shell on Westland across from AL Lotts elementary school was 100% a couple of weeks ago. 0.9 miles east of the Pellissippi and Westland exit.

This and the shell crowder mentioned were both previously Chevron's that got bought out.

I wonder if there is some correlation.

I was about to say, b/c the one on Westland was the only Chevron I knew of in Knoxville. It was Chevron last time I went by there....it's now a Shell?

Yeah, and the one crowder mentioned was a chevron too. Both were a little run down and then suddenly became shells.

Probably because your foot is on the floor all the time

I get anywhere from 10-25% better mileage with 100% gas.

Ethanol just burns too rapidly to get the same out of it as gasoline. Not enough BTU/lb.

I'm going to start going to the Shell in Solway again ( it's a little out of the way...but I don't care ).

10%mpg loss on 6mpg in the Mazda is different than 10%mpg loss of a car that gets 30.

if your that worried about fuel milage get a mo-ped. or how about this. quit fucking driving all over town for no damn reason. like going 10-20 miles out of the way to save 10 cents a gallon on gas. on a side note. a high compression engine will most likely benefit from the E10 fuel. less spark knock.

It's because there is a new station out here that is starting price wars with the station beside it. This morning it was back up to $2.59 though, which is still better than the rest of k-town. I love working in east Knoxville... not as many d-bag drivers and cheapers gas = WIN!
