hard to bet because you don't know how serious either team will take this race. both cars are capable of getting the job done.

Looks like there is not a weight rule according to www.bountyrace.com. RUN WHAT YA BRUNG AND HOPE YOU BRUNG ENOUGH. Thats what I am talking about should be a good race. I'll take Lynch, but I wonder how light he can get his car to?

If I had to bet I'd go on Glidden mostly on the sake of consistency. Lynch is up and down on ETs.

it's not a best out of 3. they're not even necessarily lining up. i mean, maybe they would do a grudge race if they don't meet in eliminations, but they don't have to. this race doesn't have qualifying or anything. they just draw names of the people there to race and make a ladder off of the drawing...then they all pair off in eliminations. so, it isn't a guarantee that they will even end up racing each other...they'll just both be present. also, both cars will be on 10.5w's, but the race allows any weight and any tire so they could both be on big tires if they like. it just wouldn't do any good since neither ever run on them, haven't tested on them, and wouldn't have any use for the knowledge gained with them for future racing both being 10.5 cars and all. anyways...

It's worth the ride and $20 to see both of them run whether it's each other or not.

Kind of saw that one coming , not to try and take away from Lynch's success but Glidden is hard to beat because he very rarely shakes the tires or gets out of shape and has to lift. Which is quite an accomplishment at that power level on such a relatively small tire
    Congrats to Glidden!

This was an an awesome event for those of you that didn't make it! I rode up yesterday afternoon and hung out till 1am Tenn time this morning when Glidden got that Bounty money after working thru several quick cars.. . which surprizingly was a turbo field except for the Bounty holder.

Glidden put Lynch on the trailer in the first round with a 4.90 @ 118mph to Tim's 5.08 @ 112, both drivers had to lift down track. Lynch later went on to make a test lick before leaving which was a high 4.90 @ 129 I believe.

I-40 is a nice facility with plenty of bite in the groove, although Jim told me he wasn't happy with the top end it wasn't for any lack of effort at this event.

Below are some pics I took, my camera sucks at night.

Glidden's test hit (Big tire Bounty):

The ticket: I found it interesting that although this race was N/T Glidden chose to tape his ticket to the car for display. He might do this at other events to keep from answering the same question I suppose. This was the pass above, which was aborted near the 330ft mark.

Sam Vincent test hit (Small tire Bounty):

    Carplight waiting in the heat.

Porsche Big Block, Fogger, 1 big Turbo (Big tire Bounty):

    Glidden vs. Lynch

Glidden victory lane pic, later that night after several more rounds

Yep....he is the home town hero I guess , but you cant win em all . Gliddens ride stands just as much of a chance at any given race to take the win....in my opinion its a crap shoot. If it had been 1/4 mile my bet would have been on lynch but under the given circumstances I had to go with Glidden

Indeed. Shannon and Billy are very Fan oriented and were quick to invite anyone in support of them and their program to get in the victory picture with them so I obliged.

This was cool too I thought, even though it was only for the event I believe.

This car was a quick one for a 8.2 deck motor. Also running in the Big Tire Bounty, they appeared to be still sorting some issue but when it rode it rode!

Not to mention Lynch came rollin' into Phenix City this morning to run ORSCA 10.5 Outlaw. Made 1 or 2 qualifying passes. Then gets put out in the first round. That has to suck. I was upset because Allen couldn't run his 4.70 car because he lost oil pressure after the first qualifying pass. He was #1 qualifier in 5.30 with 5.300 until the final round of qualifying where someone went 5.3000. So he had a bye the first round and went out second round. We have been to Commerce ORSCA, off one week, we were in Phenix City last weekend and turned around and went back this weekend. Thank goodness we have another week off. I don't know how Lynch and them can travel like that. It is killing me. I miss my friends!!!
