Saying Im new is an understatement
Hey everyone! I was looking for a place to put this, and then I saw the teach talk section, so here goes: When I say im new to the world of custom cars and all that jazz, i mean it, im new. I guess I can say some of my noobishness is in the fact that im only 16, but hey, whats a better time to start? Anyway, Im looking for help. My biggest goal right now is to get to cheapo junker car for little money, and rebuild it into a street worthy car. The only problem is, I dont really know much about cars besides names and looks (and yes, i can drive them). An example is if you say that car has whatever CC's, i don't know what your talking about. So I was wondering if i could get pushed in the right direction as to how to learn about how cars work, all the technical terms, and auto "lingo", so ultimately, after, or while teaching myself, i can start on rebuilding a car. I think the best way to learn about the car is fix up the internals, so im going for it. Any help would be appreciated. Please suggest any books, DVD's, or places to go to get help?
Thanks a ton,
Joe M.
